Disappointing, cold service — especially on what should’ve been a joyful birthday. 15/05/2025 20:35-20:40 I ordered a gelato with a macaron through the app and arrived at the store to redeem it. From the very beginning, the female staff member was visibly impatient. When I handed over my phone, she grabbed it and tapped around the screen repeatedly in frustration, telling me, “Next time, confirm your arrival somewhere with better signal.” But how am I supposed to confirm arrival before I even get to the store? The signal issue was clearly inside — not my fault. After preparing the gelato, she placed the macaron loosely on top. It immediately fell off the moment I stepped outside. I returned right away, explained what happened politely, and even showed her a photo of the macaron that had fallen. I held it in my hand — untouched — and said: “It’s my birthday today, could you please give me a new macaron?” I said this three times. Her expression didn’t change once — cold, blank, completely unbothered. No apology. No basic kindness. No acknowledgment of what I said. She simply repeated: “It didn’t fall inside the store.” “It costs £2.30.” “I won’t pay for it.” She didn’t even say “Happy Birthday”. I wasn’t demanding anything extra — just hoping for a small bit of human warmth on a special day. To show that I wasn’t trying to take advantage, I calmly dropped the fallen macaron into the trash bin right in front of them. Eventually, a male staff member kindly offered a replacement without saying a word — and I appreciated that — but by then, the experience was already disappointing and frankly humiliating. The gelato was fine, but the service was cold, unfriendly, and completely lacking empathy. I left feeling worse than when I walked in. I left feeling embarrassed and deeply disappointed. What makes it worse is that I’ve had great service at other Amorino locations: Greenwich in particular has always been lovely — the staff are kind and the presentation is beautiful. Leicester Square and South Kensington have also been pleasant. But the Covent Garden branch, especially the female staff, consistently show poor attitude and nearly zero communication skills. It’s unfortunate, because the product deserves better representation.

Amorino Gelato is a charming gelateria nestled in the heart of London. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the sweet aroma of freshly churned gelato and the warm smiles of the staff. Whether you’re a gelato aficionado or a first-timer, this place promises an unforgettable experience. The Gelato Amorino takes gelato seriously, and it shows. Their gelato is made with love and precision, using only the finest ingredients. The flavors are diverse, ranging from classic favorites like stracciatella and pistachio to more exotic options like rose and lavender. The best part? You can choose as many flavors as you’d like, and they’ll artfully arrange them in a delicate flower shape on your cone or cup. Presentation The attention to detail at Amorino is commendable. Each scoop is meticulously crafted, resembling a blooming flower petal. It’s almost too beautiful to eat! But trust me, you won’t be able to resist. The vibrant colors and intricate designs make for an Instagram-worthy treat. Vegan and Allergen-Friendly Options Amorino caters to everyone. Vegans rejoice! They offer a variety of dairy-free sorbets that are just as delightful as their gelato counterparts. Plus, if you have any dietary restrictions, the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. Ambiance The cozy interior with wooden accents and pastel hues invites you to linger. Whether you’re catching up with friends or enjoying a solo indulgence, Amorino provides a welcoming atmosphere. During warmer months, grab a seat outside and people-watch while savoring your gelato. Service The staff at Amorino is friendly, patient, and passionate about their craft. They’ll gladly guide you through the flavor selection process and share their personal favorites. It’s evident that they take pride in creating a memorable experience for every customer. Final Verdict Amorino Gelato is more than just a gelateria; it’s a sensory delight. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply treating yourself, this little gem in London is worth every spoonful. Don’t miss out on this sweet escape!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER SEEN AT ANY ESTABLISHMENT, avoid the rude Caucasian lady/manager there!(unfortunately didn't get her name)

So I usually always go to Amorino in Stratford and it's one of the best ice creams in London, However I went to this branch in garrick street on 09/09/2022 around 945pm and had ordered 2 small ice creams as I didn't want too much ice cream at the time, I asked to add a sample of each flavour(except the sorbets) on the cone as suggested by another amorino staff in stratford (a must try) but when I asked for that the Caucasian lady working there who seemed like the manager laughed at me and embaressed me in front of my friend and others saying, why did you order the small if you wanted each flavour. I had no clue it was against the policy to want to add a small amount of each flavour on the small ice cream as I usually always get that exact thing in the stratford branch which was suggested to me by an amarino staff there.

If I wasn't allowed to get it she could have just said no and said you have to choose 1 or 2 flavours as per their policy, but instead I was laughed at and publicly shamed by the manager for even ordering a small, as if wanting to not have too much ice cream at 9pm at night after a big dinner is a sin.

ALSO, besides that even as I got up to the counter that same lady was rude to us as we approached the counter saying we had to order using the self checkout screen (which I had no idea was even there as it was behind me and usually I always order at the counter). The way she asked me to do it was as if I was a lower class citizen to her with no knowledge on how to use a touch screen.

P.s the asian guy with a beard working there actually did end up making it for me and was nice even though the caucasian manager was still laughing about us behind the counter, however my friend didn't get his one made as the manager made a fuss about it which was the main reason as I wanted him to get a taste of each flavour as he never...
