This review is particularly for the store manager Jo who was extremely kind, understanding and helpful despite the dilemma at hand.
About 2 months ago I can to boux avenue for a fitting and immediately from the fitting and continously since I found all the bras I bought were cutting into my sides around my ribs. Unfortunately I live in west Cornwall and today was the first opportunity I had to return to the store and raise the issue I was having. I also have some confusion about the receipt that I swore was emailed but it turns out it wasn't. Jo put me in for another fitting and found the band was fitting as they would recommend but she listened to me. She let me show her the issues I was having, the marks I had gathered and understood my discomfort so she helped me get refitted and agreed to swap my original bras for a band wider that I found far more comfortable. She didnt have to do this, I didnt have a receipt and it had been quite a while. She made a very fair and valid point that if I had rang sooner, even if I was unable to get to them they would atleast be aware of the problem and find it easier to resolve. If anyone has an issues I would suggest to do this, I should have done this.
I am massively appreciative to Jo for helping me, I am already far more comfortable and its genuinely taken quite a bit of stress off my mind. She also gave me pointers about strap positioning, and she did this without judgment.
I would thoroughly recommend Boux Avenue Plymouth, I wish I had pushed more at the time of my original fit about the discomfort but that is for me to learn from and understand a querk for me that likely does not apply to the majority of people they see.

Read moreI’m am disgusted at the service I’ve received from the Plymouth branch. Christmas Eve I popped in for a last minute present for my daughter which ended up being a £100 plus purchase. At the till the young girl serving me tried to upsell what I believe was a defuser, I told her I wasn’t interested and from that point she behaved like a petulant child, she ignored me the rest of the transaction, I even had to ask for a gift box and bag to which she just added it to my order with no acknowledgment whatsoever. Never have I been treated this way by someone supposedly representing a brand front of house.
Today, I thought I’d try again thinking my last experience was just Christmas temp staff. Requiring a bra fit for myself I was in store for a while before being asked if I needed help, the lady I spoke to was helpful and passed me to another member of staff for a fitting, we chose some bras in a rough size, I was then taken to the fitting room and told she would hand over to another staff member for fitting, to pop one of the bras on and ring the bell which I did, I was told just a minute, waited a while where I tried on a couple of the other bras then rang again, she then came I explained I was struggling (three and a half weeks post op) she then picked up the next size bra, handed it to me and left me too it, no fitting no service whatsoever so I promptly got dressed and left feeling very frustrated. Read moreI went into your store, head held low, the end of the summer holidays obviously taken their toll, I'm A mother of 4 with mental health problems, my bf was trying to cheer me up, up to entering this store his plan was not working and the thought of trying on bras devastated my confidence even more. Lynsey 341988 took me into the changing room and somehow in my vulnerable state of half nakedness managed to turn my mood completely around, she made me feel worthy, listened but didn't judge, found me some awsome bras for my shape, didn't rip me off, didn't mention my uncontrolled sweating from my anxiety, calmed me down by talking about similar interests. I just really wanted to tell you that the half hour spent in this shop with this lady really opened up my eyes how shopping should be done, I've never walked into posh shops as I don't feel worthy, it was quite the pretty woman experience for me it really was. I had previously been into M&S and that experience was awful. Lynsey made me feel so good by the time I walked out of that shop I was already wondering how I could rate my experience with her. So I'm basically saying if you give bonuses or medals for customer service I'd really appreciate her being showered in love because that's how she made me feel that day and it shouldn't go unnoticed. Because of her I will happily send all of my friends and family to that store to get measured up for your gorgeous bras.
