The lady (think her name was Lydia) that served us at the weekend was the rudest person I've ever come into contact with in a customer facing role. She clearly didn't want to be there as she was quite frankly vile from start to finish. Incredibly sarcastic and patronising, making every single thing incredibly difficult when it didn't need to be. She was on her phone playing a game when we walked over and continued to do this in full view whilst we decided on doughnuts, that says it all really.

I've worked in customer service before and this 'service' she provided would not be tolerated anywhere I've worked. I'm really sorry that you had to serve some customers on a weekend but if you're going to be that insanely rude and try to make every tiny interaction horrible and difficult then it's time you found another job. We ordered over 140 doughnuts for our wedding at the Palace Hotel, Torquay in June 2016 and the gentleman who served us was extremely helpful and friendly. We visited a couple of times whilst deciding what we wanted and both times he was brilliant.
