I booked an appointment in January 2021 to begin the search for my dress. I worked with Kirsten, who was very helpful and patient. She listened to what I thought my style was and looked over inspiration photos with me. I tried multiple dresses and eventually went with a style I always envisioned. I found “the dress” after three visits in two weeks. Since I liked the service and experience so well, and my fiancee and I wanted to support local, I made an appointment to bring my bridesmaids in. We worked with Kirsten again and the girls had a wonderful experience as well. My dress arrived two months ahead of schedule, which was fantastic. The bridesmaids, however, arrived six weeks later than we were orignally told. It was a little frustrating, as we then had to wait another month for an alterations appointment (from a different location). My fiancee and his groomsmen all were measured for their suits. My fiancee purchased his and we rented for his groomsmen. We ordered about 5 weeks prior to the wedding. We were told his suit would be in two weeks from the order date, and the rentals a week before the wedding. Three weeks later, no suit. We called the shop numerous times and no one answered. When we finally got a hold of someone, they said all suits will be in next week. That put us a week before the wedding. That week we called. Again, no answer. Jim, the suit guy, called that night (one week before the wedding) to schedule an appointment for all of the guys to go in to try on their suits and have any alterations taken care of. Fast forward to the following Tuesday, two days before the wedding. The guys arrive at the shop, which is about an hour drive, only to be told the suits are not there. My fiancee said they were not able to come back, so Jim had to deliever to them. He promised to deliever by noon the next day. He didn’t. He called at noon the day before the wedding to inform us that the suits haven’t arrived due to a weather delay and he could have them overnighted by noon the day of the wedding. We were scheduled to be at the venue by that time. And we had no guarantee that the suits would even be delievered. We ended up going to Mens Warehouse and puchasing three suits so my soon to be husband and his groomsmen could be properly dressed for the wedding. Jim was very unprofessional during this whole disaster. He never called to tell us that the suits were not in before the guys drove an hour into the city. He failed to deliever the next day and could not guarantee 100% that we would even have them, even though we ordered 5 weeks prioe to the wedding. He ignored our calls after the wedding when were trying to get a refund. We also asked that he cover the difference of what we were forced to purchase as no one can rent us a suit 24 hours before the wedding. Jim eventually returned our calls, after many, many attempts by us and hesitated to fix his error. In the end, we did get our refund and he did cover part of the difference, but his unprofessional attitude made that extremely difficult. I really wanted to recommend Andersons Bride to others, but unfortunately I cannot. The unethical and unprofessional behavior by Jim (who is one of the owners) keeps me from suggesting this business to others. It is not right to cause a bride and groom and their families that amount of stress and an additional financial burden hours...
Read moreTLDR: The service was phenomenal, the dress selection was great, and we had fun the entire appointment. Erika was awesome, come here if you need a dress!
Everything you can think of and more was excellent! I got the chance to work with Erika and she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. From the moment my mom and I walked in the shop and up until we left we were pampered and taken care of. We sat down with Erika first to discuss the wedding theme and style of the dress, as well as some questions that I had. Erika was very helpful and grasped the concept of the dress and the wedding theme right away. From there, she pulled a few dresses for me to try, and let me loose in the shop to find any dresses that I might like. After all the dresses were picked, it was time to try them on. Erika took the time with each dress to let me see how it might work with a veil and other elements that I was looking for. We played around with sleeves and crowns and dressed some dresses up with belts. Erika was very patient, addressed every concern and question I had, and was very helpful throughout. In the dressing room, I was given my privacy and was helped when I was ready. Eventually after thirteen or so dresses I had my three favorites, and I tried them on again. For every dress, Erika picked a veil, sleeves (something I wanted included in a dress), and a matching crown on top. Once I put on THE dress, I realized I didn't want to take it off, especially when I looked at it with all the elements attached. I had found the one. After my big "Yes to the dress" moment, it was time to talk about money. They offer a payment plan, which was excellent news for me. After everything was solidified, Erika also provided me with helpful information about venues and tuxedo rental. Overall, I felt extremely happy and grateful after the appointment. Erika was absolutely excellent, and very very helpful. If you need a dress, this is the...
Read moreHopefully this was the first and only time I'll ever had to buy a wedding dress, so of course, the experience has to be one of the most enjoyable and stress free. I liked the ease of setting up the appointment and the appointment reminders kept me on track. The location is easy to find. Now starting with the first impression during the appointment, it wasn't great. I was immediately greeted with "sorry we're by appointment only"... I WAS the appointment. The attendant mistook someone else (a walk in) for me and immediately had to double check who she was working with and had to us all she made a mistake. All that would've been avoided had she properly greeted clients with "hi there, do you have an appointment?" Introduced herself and checked the book. The dresses were all lovely. She made great recommendations, and we found the perfect dress for my body shape and fit. We also went through accessories and everything, so I was able to complete the outfit. The next thing I wasn't quite pleased with was that I was very thirsty, I even mentioned it a couple times. She didn't offer anything to drink. I imagined better accomodations, like offering sparkling water, cucumber water, wine, or champagne. SOMETHING. If someone is going to potentially drop thousands of dollars at your store, then a beverage should be complimentary at the very least. Other than that, it was an ok experience, but I...
