Red Umbrella Reindeer — Local services in Alaska

I saw this hot dog stand at the corner of a busy Downtown street while in Anchorage and thought to myself that I had to try a hot dog from Red Umbrella Reindeer. Unfortunately I didn't order the famous Spicy Reindeer Sausage but I did order the Louisiana Hot Link hot dog, and it was delicious! The gentleman working was very friendly and the service was great. The hot dog stand had a lot of different sauces and condiments available to accompany your hot dog. Everything seemed to be clean and there was a small park-like area near the stand to sit and enjoy your food. Recommend...

They have the best spicey mayo sauce of all the hotdog places downtown. (yes, I've tried them all). The hotdogs here are pretty good, but I personally think that Tia's Hotdogs with the yellow ubrella right down the street are better. Tia's also has way better carmelized onions. I work at the 5th Avenue Mall and every once in a while, you just crave something different than the mall food. I walk to Red Umbrella weekly during the summer. I usually get the Louisiana Hot Link with onion, cheese and boss sauce. It's amazing. Prices are awesome and I usually get the meal deal which comes with chips and drinks.
