The only reason this place is getting two stars is because of the one person from their corporate office that I spoke with. We bought a sofa and love seat from these guys in March/April. A couple of weeks ago my kid sat on the couch and it sank right in. When I turned it over, I saw a spring had popped out from the side of the sofa and underneath it, the springs were held together by twisted paper. I called the office here in Altoona and was told that because I didn't purchase their special warranty I was stuck with a broken sofa. I contacted their corporate office and was told that the sofa and love seat were covered by a one year manufacturer warranty. So I called the store back and they told me to email pictures of the sofa. I did, then a week later I get a call back saying that they could swap it out, I just had to bring the old one in. I told them I had them delivered because I didn't have a way to pick them up, and was told I had to pay a $25 delivery fee in order for them to come get the broken one and bring me the replacement. Corporate told me that since they were delivered in the first place, I didn't have to pay a second fee. This past Wednesday I get a call from an employee at the Altoona store, they said they could do the swap on Friday, that they would call before coming out. They never called or showed on Friday. Then Saturday I was told that the people working were not told about the delivery. They had no further information than that I had to pay a $25 delivery fee. So, they said they would do the swap on Sunday. I won't hold my breath to see if they show. Their prices are great, but I question the craftsmanship of the items they sell, and their communication between management and employees obviously needs improvement. EDIT They did not show on Sunday, nor did they call to say they wouldn't be coming, NOR did they answer the phone when my husband called to see what was going on. FINAL EDIT They returned my call today, apologizing like crazy for not delivering it on Sunday. They said they could deliver it on Tuesday at 2PM and I said that was fine. A few minutes later they called back and said they would call the delivery driver in to deliver it today. When they didn't show by 4:30PM I called to see if they were still coming and they said yes. The employee said he was going to see where the driver was and call back. He then spoke to my husband saying he fired the delivery driver and would be there personally to deliver it after 6PM. They finally came through and swapped out the couches. I am finally a happy person, but I highly doubt I will ever buy from...

Went to the store today, they were not open yet it was 20 minutes til’ noon and the one guy came out and propped not just the outside door but the inside door open as well, one older gentleman had walked in, my mother went up to ask if they were open yet, the lady said “no we didn’t even have our morning meeting yet” with attitude. My mother came back out, next thing we know two guys came out and said ma’am go ahead and come in I can help you, to which I said there’s others in the parking lot waiting as well, (can’t help one customer and not the rest) I’m assuming the manager was the other guy who was out started with a terrible attitude, yelling across the parking lot; “we don’t open til’ noon”; “the doors are open so come in” “where’s there a parking lot full of people?, I see 1,2 cars” again repeating “I don’t care if the parking lot is full of cars, we don’t open til’ noon” he went back inside, opened up the bay door out front; mind you we have yet to go in.. he yells out “well are you coming in or not” mom responds “yes, we are coming” he then starts walking towards us saying “what did you say, cuffing his ear I can’t hear you” which then my mother says louder “I said yes” as we walk up to the building he says “is that sign visible or not” pointing to the hours sign as we responded “yes” he said “the doors were open because a guy had a return we don’t open til’ noon” this has turned us off and made you not even want to go into the building ! Such bad customer service, you don’t open til noon, don’t prop your doors open or let one person in and take care of one customer if you are not going to take care of all customers.
Not sure myself or my family will be returning to this store.
Only put one star so I could make...
Read moreWe had quite the experience the day we shopped for furniture. First off we were greeted as soon as we walked in which was nice. Next my daughter sounds her furniture she wanted pretty quickly which was also nice. Thennnnnn checkout happened...or didn't happen. Through NO FAULT of the salesman we couldn't check out as it kept coming up script error. The salesman at the Altoona location named Eli tried so hard as well as his manager Aaron (I believe). They spent a good hour trying to get it to work so she could buy her stuff, but the script error just kept happening. We left empty handed. The next day (Sunday October 22) we stopped bsck and tried again. The script error kept popping up again, finally realized it popped up if you tried getting delivery. So she was able to buy her furniture but now we unfortunately have to find a way to get it to her house with a uhaul and family members as she isn't living in the area yet. This will cost more than the $109 the delivery fee they offer would cost, but at least she will get her furniture. Family is supposed to go pick it up tomorrow. We will see how smoothly it goes tomorrow. I will update if there...
