Rural King - Altoona, PA — Local services in Logan Township

1% fee that’s not a tax but we are required to pay!!?!? What is this?!? Plank RD Development project? GTFOH, Altoona has enough tax base. I don’t want to pay it. I want my 1% back. Was just at their brand new store in Warren, OH and they don’t have this 1%tax added on. I was so happy to finally have a RK closer to somerset county and then i see this on the counter. I darn near walked out and left all my items at the counter and in the cart on the first day they were open over this. I have spent literal 10’s of thousands of dollars with this family owned business at multiple stores over many years mainly Connelsville, PA, but sometimes Washington, PA; the one up by the Shell cracker plant, two in Ohio, Morgantown, WV; Front Royal, VA; State college, PA also. And NEVER have I see this Bullspit tax that is not a tax added on. Every single trip has generally been $300-500 for oil, cattle feed by the pallet full, chicken feed, seed, haybine parts, tractor pins, twine, gloves, jeans, shorts, ammo. REMOVE the 1% tax that is not a tax!

The new store layout has less Rural and more city in it. Looked for round baler belts = nope. They now hide the gloves in a back isle.

Rural King is usually a great store in Clearfield, PA but recently visited the new Rural King in Altoona, PA and was really disapointed! I was looking for a pair of Ariat boots and found several pair marked as on sale for $29.91! At checkout I bought other things but the price of the boots came up as over $100.00! I asked for the manager and when she came over she told me that the prices on ALL THE BOOTS in the store was WRONG! She could not give me the boots for the advertised price. When I got home I followed up and talked to another manager and he said something was not right about the way I was treated and agreed to help me out. That was about 2 weeks ago and after talking to him several times, he promised me to make things right. As of today, two weeks later nothing had been done! I even emailed Corporate and they never replied! Not a good experience. They don't seem to care about either their customers or the accuracy of their boot prices! UPDATE: Last week I went back to the store and discussed the issue with the management and they finally agreed that I was due a price adjustment and I finally was able to buy the boots I wanted at the sale price displayed. Never did i complain about the dollar fee charged or anything . But when I go by the bunny pens and see a white bunny With feces and urine all over it's belly and struggling to breathe and just simply live broke me . Rural king did absolutely nothing to help her . Without a medical emergency she will never survive and the other bunnys possibly won't as well if it's a parasite. If someone was to buy a bunny and take it home to other pets it will kill them as well . Management did nothing but let the bunny suffer . I will never shop here again. This maybe just a simple bunny but simple issues are important as well . This has been reported to BCHS and peta the new paper...
