Hobby Lobby — Local services in Logan Township

I visited the Altoona, PA Hobby Lobby on December 22, 2021. I needed to purchase picture frames and of course browse at all the awesome stuff while I was there. My 2 year old wasn’t on board with browsing though and he started to get unruly. Then he spotted a toy construction truck and his eyes lit up. I gave him the box to look at, soon realizing he was never going to put it down. He was content to hold that box with the toy truck for the rest of the shopping trip. When I was checking out there was a young male cashier who sized up the situation with my 2 year old quickly. Instead of taking the truck from him to ring it up, he said “Hey bud, can you show me that cool truck you have?!” I was holding my breath waiting for a meltdown, but instead my son proudly showed him his truck with the price tag in full view! I was so impressed! The cashier then asked him if he was excited for Christmas and my normally stranger shy/standoffish 2 year old gave him a thumbs up! It’s truly the little things that make customer service superb. My son will outgrow his tantrums someday, but in the meantime it means a lot to have a stranger take an extra moment to consider his feelings. Thank you so much for that! Hobby Lobby seems to have a lot of selection. I don't know how well-made some of the no-name products are, but as far as art supplies, they have all of the main brands and selection that would be found at any arts and crafts store. I was surprised at how the store just seemed to keep going and going. It is really expansive and they do fill it up well with product. There were a lot of things I wanted to get. That being said, I only had one item I needed to get when I visited, and the lines were so frustratingly slow it was painful. Despite long lines on all registers, the cashier of my line was really interested in having a long-winded conversations (which is fine if one can concurrently move along the transaction). I love it love it LOVE IT!!! Best place ever, please go here, it is amazing and you wont be able to leave until you realize you have to much stuff in your cart. The price is a little on the high side but..... oh well. This is my go-to place when I need any sort of crafts to do or pieces to finish up my crafts. I wish they had more needle felting wool but that's fine. I love all their dollhouse stuff along with many other things. Tons of super cool fabric.
