This is one place me and my family love..however during my work shift as requested by my resident who loves the food we went to eat today...we were greeted nicely till we got to our table...we were a table of three with 2 separate checks for a reason due to billing purposes...the waitress was nice seating us..we went up to the buffet made a regular sized plate portion to eat...didn't even finish our plate and go for a second plate and the waitress came with the bill before even finishing our first plate...she refilled one drink with no issue. Then when she came with the bill on a tray and put it on the table said u pay now...I've been here many times before I said I thought we pay at the register in which we always leave a good tip to make sure our waiter gets it before leaving...not this time. So we didn't square off right away cause we wanted dessert one plate btw...she came back to the table and said u pay now before we went for dessert...I said okay..my coworker took the cards to pay outta my jacket and the waitress brought them to the main register..first time experiencing this here...she comes back with the receipts and is standing above my coworker as she is filling the receipts out for a tip and my coworker put a zero tip due to the waitress examining the receipt filled out and staring at my coworker like she was wrong for doing that...im sorry I worked food service for 10 years in pa...not once did I show that much disrespect as to stand above a person and check out if she was tipped or not...she was not tipped for her attitude of expecting one and if she wasn't in such a demanding mood we would of tipped her at least 10 dollars but her demeanor was just rude she deserved nothing for being so rude which we were willing to overlook, but when I was trying to help my individual get ready to leave she stood impatiently behind me doing my job to get us out of the restaurant I heard her talking to her coworker complaining about us and that was the end of my Strabane we left peacefully def not a...
Read moreToday I visited this buffet and let me just say, upon entering we weren’t seated right away. We had to wait 15 minutes before being seated. Then once seated the lady asked the age of my children and rushed us to order drinks. I went and made a salad for me and one of my children and upon eating we noticed something in our salads at the same time! There were FLIES in our salads. YES FLIES! Dead ones at that. I was DISGUSTED! I asked the server for the manager and he never came. I had to go and find him. When I brought it to his attention he said, “Oh yeah its a fruit fly! It happens from the door opening and closing!” I looked at him baffled because THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT OK! He said, I will give you 20% off your bill. At this point I was ready to go. I told my family we will never come here again and left. At checkout my bill was 47$ and some change. HIS 20% of 47$ was 3$ off! THREE DOLLARS😡🤬🤯 if you do the math 20% of 47$ is 9.40 so the new total would have been 37.60. NOPE! 3 whole dollars off and then a 1.50$ charge was added on for using my card. I basically ended up paying for the entire bill anyways. I AM CALLING THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU and reporting them. I pray my child does not get sick nor I. They also did NOT pull the lettuce off of the buffet. So I hope no one else didn’t have flies with their food. If I could give them zero stars I would! DO NOT EAT HERE! If you do...
Read moreSo..this place has gone downhill quite a bit since the powers that be forced "Sam" the manager to relocate to NYC. The new manager is not pleasant at all. Once she came in, prices rose, discounts disappeared, friendliness and the " cash" discount they advertise...basically non existent. This would all be tolerable if the food hadn't gone down hill. Their chicken in a stick used to be red and sweet and now tastes like nothing hardly. The "freshness" of the food is affected.because of the large amounts they have to make. Their buttered shrimp is mostly over cooked almost all the time as is the rice and lo mein. And alot of the food gets dried out..especially the fried food. Their sushi..is technically sushi but horrible compared to other places like Aki or Little Tokyo. The hibachi should be the best part but the slop chicken and shrimp contsiners they use is usually half frozen and you can tell has been sitting a good while..possibly days in their.juice and ooze...like Kitchen Nightmare bad sometimes. For the money, no lie I'd rather get main moon or China Chef in Duncansville. And in terms of freshness, for a buffet, they don't even compare to College Buffet in State College. While this place sometimes is Pizza by Alfredo, College Buffet is...
