I am very skeptical about this whole process. I was asked if I'd brought a disc from my exray ay Nason. No one had reviewed my case with the hospital prior to my visit. I had to tell them UOC should be able to view it online. Then, I was taken for another exray by UOC staff even though Nason was very thorough in their care in exraying my wrist, shoulder, elbow, etc. I felt dismissed when attempting to inform its not just my fractured wrist causing pain. It's my injured elbow and left rotator cuff. UOC merely focused on the elbow and following the exray informed me the elbow exray indicated no sign of fracture. An attempted explanation of arthritis in my left wrist was indicated as possible cause of my pain without regard to the injury that occurred at work. I was told arthritis could look like a fracture ( not likely). I'm a medical technician and have had medical classes. I was then told there are steroid injections that could help with arthritis or possible surgery. No one was listening to me. I just kept listening to the gibberish that had nothing to do with my fractured wrist. After being totally frustrated and fed up, I stated, I was doing my job and until the injury and wanted to know what was going to be done about it, to cast the wrist, etc. It just seemed like the CPA thought I'd jump at the injection option. When that didnt happen, the CPA excused himself to confer with the doctor. I was informed by the attending CPA the doctor wanted an MRI. So, I was told someone would contact me about setting that up. Meantime, I was scheduled for a return to UOC for the doctor to read the MRI and explain what is seen. I was told to be sure and bring the MRI disc along to the follow up so it can be reviewed and explained to me. Then, I was told the brace provided by Nason was of no use with regard to approrpriately stabilizing the wrist or thumb, was ushered to another room to wait and was called in and fitted for an exos brace. My pain is worse with the brace, especially in my wrist and shoulder. Yes, I am wearing it correctly and as instructed. I am following the restrictions as directed to insure the care instructed until the MRI and follow up are šÆ percent accurate. I was contacted for scheduling the MRI, and those folks were not told I'd already been scheduled for a follow up and MRI review by UOC. The scheduler was totally surprised and stated they would do everything possible to get that scheduled ASAP so not to have to reschedule the follow up. At this point, I will not apologize for being totally skeptical and concerned about this whole process and the frustration I'm experiencing. I don't need this added stress on top of the pain I'm...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTreated yesterday with arthocentisis to remove fluid and inject steroidsvin my knee. New condition. Also began a round of oral steroids (two doses in). I've gone from moderate pain and extremely limited mobility to minimal pain and significantly improved mobility in my knee. Remains slightly swollen, functionality is drastically improved. Much needed relief! Fingers crossed it stays that way when steroids wear off and MRI has no significant results. Lol
Anthony is very kind, knowledgeable, efficacious, proactive and skilled with treatment. This was my first interaction with him. He answered all of my questions and created a thorough plan.
I am a patient of Dr. Greenleaf who is amazing. Bilateral hip replacements gave me my life back. I was a little hesitant to see the PA instead, (no offense, I was simply unfamiliar), but, needed the earliest available appointment.
Very satisfied patient here. This is a great team! Thank you so much. š
My appointment was at the Altoona office. The ladies in the front office checking in and out were friendly and efficient, the layout with the colored paths on the carpet make the larger office easier to navigate.
The X-ray technician was friendly and proficient. My appt. time was in the morning and I didn't wait anywhere more than 5-10 minutes.
The medical assistant or nurse who works for Dr. Greenleaf, (I feel bad I can't think of her name because I've dealt with her many times), who took my vitals and history, etc., is always kind, caring and adept.
Im sure from reading this review you can tell I've been very pleased with my treatment with this Dr. and his staff at both the Altoona and Roaring Spring locations. It's a privilege to have access to these providers.
From my perspective as a patient, in the short time of an appointment, a conversation, and treatment, I feel confident saying that Anthony is a great addition to this crew....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the second injury thatās sent me to UOC. Five years ago, Dr. Budny did a fantastic job treating my broken heel. He was thorough, professional, knowledgeable, and even went to bat with my insurance when they didnāt want to cover something I needed. Yesterday, I went back for some elbow issues (did I mention I called the day before and they got me in immediately?), and Sierra Cobler was my PA. I swear, this woman was meant to work in the medical field. Iāve seen a lot of doctors in my time, and sheās up there with the best of the best. She was extremely thorough, so kind and gentle, incredibly knowledgable, and very well-spoken. I really appreciated that she spoke slowly and clearly, because I donāt hear well, and that every time we transitioned from one part of the appointment to the next (she was organized like a perfect SAT essay), she asked if I had any questions. We made a treatment plan I feel very confident about. Then I went down to get a splint made and Mark in OT was a pro (he actually treated my carpal tunnel almost a decade ago at another practice and he recognized me instantly). The splint fits perfectly and is surprisingly comfortably. I seriously had such a good experience yesterday, and I cannot say enough good things about the providers Iāve...
