Very Rude Management! Very Poor customer Service! I suggest you go to a different Academy. While my experience at other stores from this company. Anderson is terrible. Started over a month ago, I was looking for a particular tree stand, that only Academy carries. I was very patient at 1st, I know this time of year Hunting supplies go fast. I would check with them continuously. They would keep telling me that they had some coming in on the truck in a couple of days. I even offered to purchase in advance. I would call them in the morning and they would say, none came in yet, so just in case I would go into the store and check, only to be told well we had some that came in this morning, but someone bought 6 of them. I offered to purchase the display, but "they aren't allowed to sell that one. So I gave up, ended up paying a little more from one of their competitors. But that is not the worst of it. I decided (Why I don't know, probably because they are closer) to give them a chance again and went in to buy a Bow. once I found it, they had the nicest guy behind the counter, but he was new, so he didn't know where the box was, so I could get the rest of the accessories. There was a manager behind the counter with him. Instead of helping him, the manager spent time on the other end of the counter occasionally yelling down to the other end giving him suggestions where to look. This went on for about 30 minutes. After that the manager decides to take him away from helping me, to have him bring some ammo to another customer. The ammo was within reach of the manger, 3 steps max. Finally I had to ask for the store manager who finds the box. An Hour later.. I don't believe I have ever seen worse service in my life.. Poor guy helping me was doing his best though. He just needs to work at a better company. Good thing he was heading into the Military. He gets 5 stars, the rest...
Read moreWe are off grid homesteaders. Every so often we buy new firearms and stock up on ammo. A couple of weeks ago we went to stock up, and realized that the whole world has gone insane. So, we have started buying more practical firearms to prep. We went into the Anderson location, last night. We asked to view 2 guns. We were getting ready to purchase a kimber 9mm. I set it down to ask questions and the associate took the gun, put it away and walked away. I guess we didnt look like we could afford such firearms. So, we went to look at ammo. We saw the only available ammo was 5.56. We went to ask another firearms associate about 5.56 firearms. He told us a little bit, and in mid conversation he stopped and started typing on his computer. We stood there waiting on him to continue the conversation and he said "oh, what? Did I not finish this conversation?". We left the store and went to buy a 5.56 at another store. Very, very disappointing customer service. I WANT that Kimber gun, but Academy would have to nearly give it to me to purchase anything from them, ever again. I'm giving two stars for the two employee's who helped me at the end of this horrible trip. I would not recommend using the curbside pick up at all unless you have time to kill. I sat for 25 minutes before I decided to go in and just get my order myself. This was my first time using this service anywhere ever and I expected faster service considering I seen an employee or maybe even a manager standing outside for the last 15 minutes just talking. After going in I found my item was right by the front door and the lady who helped me was very polite, courteous, and helpful. Her name was Cotloti (I know I'm butchering it but its a unique name). She is a great employee to have and you should be glad she turned my experience around for the end of it. The other young gentleman who seemed to be on his break behind me even offered to help her find my item. (I didn't catch his name)
