Red Crab - Juicy Seafood — Restaurant in Arlington

IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS, I WOULD…..

My boyfriend and I frequent this establishment for our seafood cravings. After our visit yesterday, I am STRONGLY considering not coming back at all. My boyfriend arrived 15 mins before 10pm to make a to go order. When we arrived, the establishment was busy (this is to be expected for a Saturday night). There was no hostess at the front for a solid 15 mins. Once she came back, we made our order and she informed us that it would be a 20-30 min wait for our food. We completely understood and waited patiently. We ended up waiting for well over an hour with no updates at all. The hostess was never at her post. While we were waiting, the front area became crowded with over 15 people wanting to be seated or to make a to go Order. She was no where to be found. Eventually, the party all rushed to the bar to make food orders because she was not at her post. People at the bar were not being attended to by the staff and the guests were causing a seen and were leaving in droves. One group had been waiting for 2 hours and were not seen to. Another guest and I went to politely asked the bartender where the hostess or manager was at to check on our food. The bartender basically went OFF on us and said that it wasn’t his job to know about our food and that he had a sore throat. All he had to do was find the hostess or manager so we can see what’s going on. He was doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BUT STANDING AROUND. All the guests around us said that he was acting ridiculous and that this whole situation was uncalled for. The level of unprofessionalism was ridiculous. All I wanted was an update on the $100+ meal that I had just ordered. I work in management and how they handled the situation was terrible. If you don’t have the staff to handle the volume of guests, take the hit and start turning away clients so you can give the people their the...

I've been to these before they are just your normal crab boil in a bag.

But this one I'm sorry to say was extremely disappointing.

After informing The person taking the order of what we wanted half dozen raw clams one bowl of gumbo and a 1 lb of crab legs straight up no side fixings and two drinks gin and tonic and a Seagram's and seven/seven.... We were approached again informing us we're out of gumbo we need to have clam chowder then we were informed that they are out of '77'..... And then informed the necessary corrections in order to clarify the error with Seagram's and 7up. Then gin and tonic ....

We were then approached by the person who does the bar works. Inform that the type of tonic that she wanted was out and that they had a couple available. Then he wanted clarification on what a Seagram's and seven was and I informed him and after that I went with the Maker's Mark and seven up. I know that sounds awful but it's not how you drink Maker's Mark but I had a taste for what I did.

The food was normally good not exciting but of course my crab legs came with the complimentary potato and very tough abusive corn pieces that they typically throw in.

And the follow-up we were charged an extra drink for all the confusion the drinks were about $9 and walked out of there with I'm $90 bill for total confusion people who don't know what's going on around them and a bartender that doesn't know his drinks. Not to be rude....

Nothing was exciting the inside was dressed up exciting but the people service attendance to your purchase of items to eat were not exciting.

And I apologize again .... no matter how exciting the words "juicy seafood" tend to look on the outside of a building it doesn't make up for the lack of knowledge that is...
