It's not too bad, i just moved around the area. I thought that it does have its nice scenery and views of sunsets. But i do advise, going before 6. All these gnats or flies flying around. Yeah i get it its nature, but there's so much of ants on the ground like its infested with ants like it isnt fertilized correctly. They do sitll need lights, what if i want to go for a night run. it is a small walk its less then a mile around the big loop. would be nice to have some benches or picnic tables around. and some water on both ends. Read more4 stars mostly because I wish the park was away from the roads, didn’t have that annoying gravel in the parking lot, had more lighting, and more trees for shade. Other than that, compared to the rest of the area, this is one of the better parks for sure. It’s scenic, has wildlife, and is overall a very peaceful family park. I’ve never had safety and security concerns at West Lake Park but I’m not surprised to hear others say that they’ve had issues (hence the lighting). Read moreA nice small park that’s family- and pet-friendly. It has a running path and a peaceful ambiance, making it a good spot for relaxation or light exercise. There’s a small lake with aquatic life, and during my visit, I spotted some beautiful birds (picture attached).
However, the parking lot begs for much to be desired—2/5. It’s small, has a concrete/gravel floor, and is very dusty. If you’re visiting with pets, they’ll likely pick up the dust, which can stain your car interior.
