Taste of Paris — Restaurant in Texas

I’m not one that usually posts reviews, especially bad reviews but this place kinda had me a bit upset. Went 20 minutes out of my way to support something as advertised as a family owned and run restaurant. First choice of order they could not provide as being out of stock, second choice they were able to make HOWEVER they were out of bread bread for toast but was given the option to have a toasted croissant instead. Okay with what they could provide I go to get my iced tea but could not find it, it was then brought to my attention that they only had tea in the fountain. To me that is not real tea and at over $3 for usually stale tasting fountain drink tea I decided to get a cup of regular coffee instead. Now, when placing and order here you order at the counter and pay before receiving any services which mean tips are also asked for before service. I do not agree with that but that is neither here nor there, I did tip 15%, I rarely tip less than 20% when paying after. Now when I asked for coffee instead I was told that the coffee was a few cents more than the fountain drinks so I would get a refund for the drink and then charged for the coffee. This is when I just walked out. I will deal with my bank to get my refund since zero product was ever given to me prior to walking out. I can understand supply shortages to a small extent, however with many things out and your consumer being flexible it is absolutely ridiculous not to cover the 25¢, 25¢! difference. Place was clean, people were nice, and food both looked and smelled very good. But I will no support a business that would not accommodate on such a petty thing. I wish them luck but I will not be back, nor will...

I have passed by this place so many I couldn't even count them. So after debating brunch; we decided to try this spot. The plaza where it's at has a bunch of little restaurants.

You are a greated by a very simple concept of a creperie in France. Simple yet functional with ample seating. The menu is not extensive but has enough to chose from no matter how picky you are.

Brunch; Normany Brie Crepe, S'mores Paradis, Nutella milkshake and espresso.

I get my espresso (no crema which was dissapointing considering they have a true espresso machine) and notice immediately that the cup is completely cracked inside and out! I tell the young girl that brought me the coffee and her response was incredible; "oh yeah its cracked but unless it cuts us, we use them. It doesn't drip so it should be fine. " Here is my reply to a staff member that clearly has not passed her Food Handling course; if I call the City of Houston Health Department - I guarantee you; the restaurant will be fined for serving drinks in potentially hazarous containers. This is a violation for the safety of the customer and a possible liability to the business.

Then the crepes arrived; very well presented and really really good portion size. The shake was also very tasty.

Would I come back again? I'm really debating it right now. I believe some of your staff needs much...

I always visit Taste of Paris with my family every Sunday morning after attending service. However, my recent visit left an indelible impression on me, prompting me to write this review. Although I don't usually write reviews, I must say that this café is an adorable experience to play make believe in Paris!!! 😊 The sweet crepes are delivered so quickly even before I take a seat hahaha!! They are delicious, and my personal favorite is the anabelle trio and my kiddos love the s’mores from the kids menu, The coffees are also delicious, although it's delivered a little slowly unfortunately but not too slowly!! I’ll wait eternity for that dirty spice chai!😛 The only complaint I have is that the customer service provided by the ladies at the front is repetitive every visit!!! Because oh my goodness gracious those girls are outstanding!! I see the same group of girls every Sunday morning and I find that super comforting and adorable to see the same crew together and being treating with such sweetness and respect kuddos to them! All jokes, definitely no complaints from this momma haha! 😝😊I highly recommend Taste of Paris to anyone looking for an adorable experience...
