08/19/23 : Osmar was an exceptionally kind and attentive young man. We shared in great conversation and speaking with him was very fulfilling and uplifting 🤗. His brother Edgar was also very attentive and polite and provided great conversation and service as well. Today I had the shrimp cocktail 🦐🍤 which was quite incredible and full of flavor. Indeed, it was so filling, I was not able to move beyond it for a regular intended meal 🥘. As well, Edgar introduced me to multiple other salsas 🥣 they have available in the restaurant upon request. They were all so delicious 😋 that when he asked which one I like the most, I literally could not put my finger on it, because they were all so delicious 😋. The environment here is very relaxing. The people are all so very polite. I even met a retired couple named Shirley and Thomas, sitting across from me, with whom I shared great conversation as well. Indeed, this experience, overall, was a very memorable moment that will not soon be forgotten as it provided great fulfillment sharing such a pleasant experience grounded in unconditional kindness with others. You know you're in an amazing place when things like this can happen. - 💯 - "Fill the world with peace, love and kindness". - Gary Y. 🌈 🟰 ☮️ 💝 🕊️ ✌️
11-24-22 Update: The service here remains exceptional and the food is out of sight. The waiter remembered what I drank from the last time I came, which has been months. He was very pleasant. I brought a rather particular, choosy type friend who pleasantly enjoyed the food. We had recently gone to Los Cucos 👎 and El Refu 👎, but we're truly disappointed. Las Palomas puts them all to shame. The prices are very fair and reasonable. You can't go wrong.
Older review: Simply delicious. Excellent service by Augustine and others. The red sauce is outta sight. The queso a perfect compliment. The green salsa very tasty as well. The mixed fajita platter was robust and delicious. The service was reliable and friendly. Truly enjoyed the food...
Read moreI came in for lunch today to get something quick. My server was Jorge unfortunately. He did a horrible job as a waiter. I am visiting from out of town and came here once before back in October 2023 and it was delicious and the service was great. This visit was absolutely horrible. I asked my server for a small queso cheese dip and a grilled chicken taco with no tomatoes. He said okay no problem and the food came out quick but the taco apparently had tomatoes so he took it back before putting it on the table. He came right back and dropped the plate off and left. It was shredded chicken not grilled so I was going to ask for the correct thing, however he kept avoiding me for about 30 minutes. He even went to other tables near me and when I said excuse me twice he kept walking. So I asked another server to get his attention for me. He finally came back over and I told him the taco wasn't good he questioned me asking what was wrong with it. I told him shredded chicken isn't good to me. He rolled his eyes and walked away with the plate and the check that he put on my table without asking if I needed anything else or how the meal was or anything. Finally I made eye contact with him again looking for my check and he looked at me and said it's coming in a minute as he cleaned off another table. I took my check after waiting 11 minutes to the front and paid. I told the young lady I was not pleased with the service at all. She told me she completely understood and offered to get a manager but it already took enough time and my ride was outside waiting. So just be aware if you have Jorge he...
Read moreI barely gave 3 stars because of the service we received from the waiter- the food alone would be a 2. Our food came out super fast which can be both a good and bad thing- good that it's prompt but bad that you know it's not very freshly made. I normally stick to enchiladas verdes de pollo or flautas when trying a new Tex Mex place as I find those to be safe choices; I broke my own rule and ordered fish tacos and was disappointed. The tortillas were not fully cooked so were kinda "doughy" but the fish itself had decent flavor. The rice and beans were okay. The salsas were good but chips were cold. Two people in my party ordered fajita baked potatoes and they looked okay, not great. Neither of them commented on the taste unless asked- they said they were good but may have been being polite. One person ordered El Presidente and said it was good. We were celebrating two birthdays and the waiter said all the others were busy with another big table but he sang to us- however, no complimentary dessert was offered nor did he direct us to go get some free soft serve from the machine at the very least. Overall, wasn't a fan and...
