Atchison Lions Pool — Local services in Atchison

Went today and they only had 3 life guards on duty. The lifeguards were not checking the water but instead chatting with their friends, flirting with each other or what looked like day dreaming...I'm surprised nobody's died there. There was not one adult working in the entire facility. Life guards doing tik tok dances instead of their job. I felt like I was the life guard! I would never trust those teenagers to guard my kids life. Unsupervised teenagers and kids blaring music with cuss words at the tables, my family had to move twice to other spots. Lots of kids just cussing constantly and nobody cares. This unfortunately is not a family friendly pool. Annoying. The slide was not working. Water was uncomfortably cold, changing room was disgusting, dirty, garbage full to the rim with an open poopy diaper on top. Made the whole place smell bad.

Its a nice big pool with a volleyball court in the pool. It also has a place for little kids play in tiny pools too. It has a slide and a couple diving boards. Not much for food, just candy, chips and drinks. Super cheap to get in. Definitely a bargain ...
