I had shoulder-length tight curls and came in for a light trim to help even out the wonkiness from an early pandemic self-cut. I said I wanted to keep the length but clean it up a little and add a but better shape / framing. Was thinking soft layers. Thought it was going well, until the stylist began to twist and razor my hair, no attention paid to how my ringlets form. This could be cute if you have wavy hair and dry and gel it every day. But I have well defined ringlets and air dry. I came out with a very wispy cut that’s gonna be a mess in our humid summer weather. It’s so short, especially around the top, that I could cry. Ringlets reformed and there are strange legging bits springing out.

Learn from my mistake: know what you want,l and check the stylist’s approach jives with your expectations. Someone else may honestly love this cut, but I would have appreciated an explanation before hand of the stylist’s approach and a bit more...

I cannot say enough great things about Stephanie at Akassa. I had major quarantine hair and she brought me back to life!!! She did such a great job with my cut and performed magic with my color.
