I didn’t tried the food because we went online to be put on the waitlist which was about 30 minutes to an hour and when we was second in line they canceled our reservation because we didn’t go inside to check in but we checked in online. When we did went in the place is so unorganized. I didn’t know where the host was at because he was running everywhere. I understand that it Sunday afternoon and everyone wants to eat but wouldn’t you think to have someone I don’t know a host to stay in the front to greet people in or at least train others to do so if the host can’t be up there. When we finally got the guys attention we said that we check in online and it saying we was 2nd in line and then all of a sudden we was off the waitlist. He told us we had to come inside and check in. We did came inside but there was no one and we saw on the tablet they had we was 2nd in line so we went back outside and waited. Look we have been waiting to eat since 11 and it’s 12 and me and my sister was getting hungry. We put ourselves down on the waitlist for two restaurants that was walking distance and this was supposed to be the one we eat at but they kicked us off the waitlist. So me and my sister walk out to go to the other restaurant instead because he told us he can put us back on the waitlist and wait another 30 minutes to an hour to get seated again. I said that was stupid and walked out. Tell me why this man walk out to try to tell me how it’s not stupid and if we go somewhere else we have to wait another hour. No we don’t because we was already on another waitlist and their rule is stupid. Why do I have to walk inside to tell you I’m here if I did it online. Don’t have an online waitlist if you’re not going to use it correctly. Plus he touched me on my back and I didn’t like that. I don’t know you and I’m angry and hungry and you trying to tell me I gotta wait another 30 minutes to eat. Atlanta is really a stupid city with their wait times and how they treat people. It just makes me not want to come back and patronize black owned businesses. I will never know how thumbs up taste but I will know how they...
Read moreDon't waste your time. The service isn't very friendly. The french toast wasn't anything to write home about. They give you these communion size containers of syrup and they crosscontaminate. They only accept cash, but they have their own ATM in the back for you to use. When they hand you your change, don't expect your exact change.
I ordered my food which included veggie sausage. I bit into the sausage and it didn't taste right. I asked the woman was this a veggie sausage and she said no, it was chicken and then said, oh you ordered veggie. She then laughed it off and told the cook that she needed veggie sausage. He then grabbed two patties and threw them on an unclean grill.
A male customer entered and was trying to read their handwritten sign. Instead of the employee saying acknowledging him and saying good morning, he began to yell, "You can sit wherever you like." He repeated it over and over again, not even bothering to look at the man. He just kept his head down in the register. The guest finally looked up and then looked around confused and asked Are you talking to me? The employee took a long pause and then said yes. The man took a seat and then felt the need to come back and apologize stating, he's never been to a place where that happened and then he left.
My order came to $13.58. I gave her a $20.00. My change SHOULD'VE been $6.42. I only received $6. When I stood their counting she said have a nice day several times without looking at me. It was at that point that I knew they were stealing people's change.
With the wrong food, bad service, and force of ATM, I figured they took their tip off top. They played some good music and the...
Read moreCame here on a Monday morning around 9:30am. There was plenty of free street parking available which we took advantage of and there was also a small parking lot alongside the building but was full when we arrived.
My family and I were greeted as soon as we came in and our server came. They told us we could sit anywhere we liked and there was no waiting period.
The menu is available through QR code. I ordered the fish and shrimp combo; it came with a piece of fried fish, maybe fried shrimp, grits, 2 eggs (cooked your way), and bread. It was A LOT of food but it was cooked perfectly. The grits were cooked just as long as my grandma cooks them!!
The rest of my family chose the option to built a plate. One ordered double dipped French toast, country sausage, bacon and mixed fruit. Our two little ones shared a banana nut pancake, a fresh fruit bowl, chicken sausage, and apple juice.
The food came out in a good amount of time, was served hot and tasted fresh.
The restaurant was decorated appropriately throughout. It had a nice country vibe. The bathroom was well stocked and clean. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Our server was a very nice woman who was always there if we needed anything. We never had to look for her which I appreciated.
When ready to pay, we were able to pay through the same QR code where we saw the menu. So if it gets busy, as long as you’re paying electronically, you don’t have to wait for the server to come back.
Great place, great food,...
