Tried this place for the first time yesterday. When you first step in, the scents and aromas are wonderful. Really lets you know what the food will be like. Music was a little loud for my tastes.
I decided to get the "Meat Combo for One", because I love a sampler. It includes onion bhajee, Lamb curry, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, naan, rice, raita, and "dessert". I assumed dessert was the kheer (rice pudding), was not disappointed.
Loved the onion bhajee. I expected something similar to vegetable pakora, and it was... but it wasn't. The onion really came out when I first bit in, but then it was countered with what seemed like a sweet potato filling. It balanced it all out, and was delicious.
The tikka masala was my least favorite. A little sweeter than I usually prefer, but still flavorful and rich, with plenty to dunk the naan in.
The lamb curry was a delight. Complex and bold, with a spicy heat that hits late in the chew and follows it down, plenty of chunky veggie bits mixed it. Wonderful.
The saag paneer... I LOVE saag paneer. Its one of my favorite Indian dishes, despite it being vegetarian. ...And this was quite possibly the best saag paneer I have ever had. It was creamy, saucy, well spiced. SO good.
I also added on some of their mushroom soup. And it was worth it. Could've used some mushrooms, but it was creamy, just the right amount of turmeric, just really delicious overall.
I spent $30, including a small tip. I had expected half portions of the entrees, I just wanted to try multiple things. But these weren't half portions. At that price, y'all, I ate til I was full. Then had leftovers for lunch the next day. Then the day after. Then gave my partner the soup.
One odd point: there was a whole... chunk, clove, whatever, of star anise in my rice. Dunno if it was on purpose. Definitely not complaining.
I will say, I like spicy. See my other reviews. But I ordered this medium, because I didn't know their levels. Next time, I will definitely go higher. Even the lamb curry barely made a tingle...

Read moreHubby and I ordered dinner here and it was a total disappointment. 1st we ordered online @6:40 and it said the order will be ready @ 7:01. Arrived @ 7:15 and the order wasn’t ready at all. Order was finally ready @7:45. They were more focused on the DoorDash orders than anything. Then they were trying to say we already had our order and clearly we didn’t. I called in there when my husband came back to the car and they tried to tell me they gave him the order. The food must of been invisible. He went back in there and asked to speak to someone else after the people went back and forth about our order. Then the guy says oh there was another Ashley who order as well. So clearly somebody wasn’t paying any attention to the last names. We ordered Malagatawny Soup, Tofu Vindaloo, Tofu Dal Sabji, Garlic Naan, Aloo Paratha, Daal Poori and Mango Lassi. The soup was so watery, I’ve never had malagatawny soup that watery with a film of oil on top. The Tofu Vindaloo was so freaking spicy, my husband couldn’t even eat it. He ate like 3 scoops and was done with it, which caused him to have gastroesophageal reflux. He asked for hot but that was like extra extra hot. And he always eats his food spicy. The Tofu Dal Sabji didn’t have any flavor. The mango lassi was sour like a spoiled sour taste. And I drink mango lassi on a regular daily basis when wanting something sweet. And have never had one so sour. We asked to switch the soup out for the vegetable samosas and the guy had a problem with that. At the end of it all the only thing that was enjoyable was the Aloo Paratha, the vegetable samosas and the Daal Poori. We would have went to Raduni as usual but decided to try planet Bombay for the first time. Biggest mistake made. After all we discarded everything and decided to just go to Gino’s pizza and everyone was happy, full...
