I'm thrilled to celebrate a major milestone - my 300th class at OTF Midtown ATL today! Over the past year and a half, I've had the privilege of attending classes with every single one of their incredibly talented coaches: Kate, Kasey, Lara, Lane, Danny, Saunders, and Sarah. Each class has been consistently engaging and enjoyable, and I'm incredibly grateful for their guidance and support in helping me achieve my fitness goals.
The studio fosters a truly inspiring atmosphere. Seeing fellow members working hard towards their own mental and physical well-being has been a constant source of motivation. The on-screen metrics are a fantastic tool that allows me to optimize my workout without overexerting myself or slacking off. The coaches do an excellent job of clearly explaining the workout instructions, making it easy for both newcomers and experienced members to follow along.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the entire staff as well ā Leila, Vonyee, Philip, Nick, and Meg. Their friendly and helpful demeanor makes the studio feel incredibly welcoming. The spacious facility also provides a comfortable and well-equipped environment for every workout.
Thanks to OTF Midtown ATL, I'm achieving things I never thought possible!
I'm so excited to be running my first 10k since 2017 this July 4th, followed by my first ever half marathon in November! The positive transformation I've experienced here is truly remarkable. When I first started, I felt discouraged about my fitness level, but OTF helped me rediscover my drive and overcome negative self-talk (though I'll admit, it's still a work in progress!).
This studio has truly enriched my life in so many ways. While I'm sad to be moving out of Atlanta soon, I'm thrilled that the OTF network allows me to continue my membership at their Richmond location.
For anyone considering OTF, I wholeheartedly recommend it! Combining their fantastic classes with a healthy diet is a surefire recipe for success. If it worked for me, it can definitely work for you too!
Thank you once again, OTF Midtown ATL ā you're...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was an Orangetheory member in New Jersey for almost a year and loved it, the vibe there felt like family. After moving to Atlanta, I wanted to try the Midtown location. I live within walking distance, and my friend (also a longtime OT member) convinced me to join her for a class. I arrived 10 minutes early, already familiar with the workouts and protocol, and asked if I could take a free class to try this studio, something Orangetheory regularly offers to new or returning members.
At first there was a miscommunication: Leila the staff member, assumed I was brand new and told me I had to arrive 30 minutes early for an intro. I clarified multiple times that I was a previous member and already knew the protocol, but even after she understood, she still insisted on charging me. This was confusing, because my friend had been in the exact same situation years ago when she moved locations in 2019, and she was allowed to take a free class to decide if she wanted to rejoin. I couldnāt understand why the same courtesy wasnāt extended here.
Instead of clearly explaining why, Leila the receptionist, rolled her eyes, sighed, and spoke to me in a condescending way. Her answers kept changing too, first saying I wouldnāt have to pay, then asking for my card, then changing her mind again. All that time she spent dismissing me and telling I couldnāt take the class because I did not come 30 minutes earlier could have been used to simply make me feel welcome or walk me through anything Iād forgotten.
By the time she finally said I could join, she did it in a sarcastic and dismissive way, with a fake smile and a mocking heart gesture. I felt so unwelcome and insulted that I left. The issue was never the policy. I completely understand protocols. The problem was the lack of clarity, professionalism, and basic courtesy.
This was my first experience at OT midtown Atlanta, I was looking to rejoin but itās pretty clear I would never step foot at this studio again. It has nothing to do with the warm, supportive, family-like environment I experienced...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been going to this location for a year now and today I just have to give OTF Midtown a shoutout. There was an active shooter warning during our class today, and the office manager (Sarah) took the time to relay us the information calmly and professionally while encouraging us to shelter in place at the location if we needed to. I share that example to show how caring the staff at OTF Midtown are. Beyond someone who works out at the gym, they care for your safety and well-being. I don't know how they learn the names so quickly here but everyone on staff knows who you are and you're always welcomed into the class with so much positivity and energy.
If you're coming for your first class, I couldn't swear by Coach Kasey enough. She is the absolute ideal OTF Coach, the best I've seen (and I've taken OTF classes at other studios around town!). Her positivity and energy is infectious and she genuinely cares to make sure your form is on point without coming off as judgmental.
I highly recommend folks try the first free class to check it out, it is such an efficient, fun, high-energy workout. There's so many times they offer during the day to fit many schedules. It is such a nonjudgmental space where the only person you're competing against is yourself to burn the most you can. I've never been bored by a class and they switch things up. I now use heart rate interval training as a practice and discipline within my life and other workouts, it's seriously changed my life and been such a great tool for accountability that OTF taught me! Thank you so much...
