First of all I want to say this restaurant was owned by a very personal friend of mine before it took over the way it is and I really enjoyed it the way it was and now the way it is, the food was excellent and is delicious even tho chef Adrian is no longer with this company and sold out to Miguel and associates. I personally know them all and happy for them they are achieving what they are doing and working so hard to make it. But unfortunately I have come to my last visit in this establishment not cuz of the food quality and the horrible experience I’ve been facing for the past 3 times I’ve been there. The softener service from my server yesterday was completely unacceptable, careless and utterly disrespectful from my server and the bartender who were on shift last night and same people from prior nights! They clearly don’t care about costumers nor themselves as a business cuz they really are more concerned on closing down early and go home vs attending or providing a better costumer service! They light up the restaurant as soon as they hit the last seating time they start kicking you out even the manager approaches you to tell you have 15 mins to finish your stuff and go otherwise the security guard is gonna be behind you forcing your way out! This is the kind of unprofessional behavior that has made take my business elsewhere. We tried moving seat from the table to the bar and we were rejected and discouraged to seat there by the bartender “manager” a tall Dominican guy with braided hair the reason was “we are 2 minutes away from closing” we can’t have you at the bar that was the worst experience ever not to mention our server a young lady with somewhat blond looking hair who refused to give us her name was awful rolling her eyes not taking care of my requests and giving a terrible attitude to my business friends I was with! I once called the manager to address this matter and he promised me this was gonna be brought up to attention on a mandatory meeting that take place on Mondays to ownership to make proper adjustments but from that to reality things have gotten worst and costumer service here is appalling. To the owner of this place you shall review who you have attending your business cuz from my perspective it won’t sell well with careless people disrespecting who really want to do business with you and know the story behind this business. I will not be returning to this...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Rreal Tacos in Midtown Atlanta and couldn't be more thrilled to share my exceptional experience.
Despite the bustling Friday night crowd, I found a seat at the bar. While I usually prefer the dining room, the lively atmosphere and friendly staff made the bar experience just as enjoyable.
Speaking of the staff, their exceptional service stood out. They were attentive without overwhelming with questions, creating a pleasant and relaxed dining environment. Their camaraderie was evident, contributing to the overall positive vibe of the place. Thanks to Maria for being a fun bar attendant to me as I ate my meal. Shout out to Camila! We love you! 🥰
The attention to detail extended to the drinks—they were crafted with intentionality, and each one was checked before being served. Additionally, birthdays are celebrated with a delightful tres leches cake adorned with a sparkler, adding a special touch to the dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the ambiance. The dimly lit setting, adorned with festive Christmas lights and accompanied by bumpin' music, set the perfect mood for a Friday night out.
When it comes to the food, The queso was a highlight—smooth and creamy, paired perfectly with chips that achieved the ideal crunch. I also ordered the veggie taco and it stole the show. A tortilla topped with black beans and fried avocado, it delivered a perfect balance of saltiness and crunch. The addition of cilantro and onions was classic and paired beautifully with the meal. A pro tip: adding salsa verde provides a hint of lime that takes the experience to the next level.
Saving the best for last—the Tres Leches Cake. Creamy, well-soaked, and bursting with a delightful cinnamon flavor, it was like horchata in cake form. While there was a tad too much whipped cream for my liking, I appreciated that they support local businesses by outsourcing their cakes from the community.
In summary, Rreal Tacos in Midtown Atlanta offers a phenomenally done dining experience. From the welcoming staff to the thoughtfully crafted food and drinks, every aspect contributes to a memorable evening. Five stars...
Read moreI went to Rreal Tacos yesterday to celebrate my birthday. I made the reservation on open table for two people and told them I was celebrating my birthday. I’ve been to the other midtown location but this was my first time at the midtown location. I brought my best friend with me. It was not crowded inside but I wanted to sit on the patio by the heater. We decided to sit out on the patio placed by a table with 10-15 people. Someone at that table was celebrating a birthday and they sang and staff brought out a cake with a sparkler candle.
Our servers name was Delfina. I ordered a Paloma to drink. When I went to order my food, I explained that I’m vegan and have a peanut allergy. I ordered a burrito made vegan with avocado in place of meat and a fried avocado taco made vegan. I also ordered chips and guacamole (added later on) When the food came, I ate the taco first which was good. Then I ate half the burrito not realizing there was cheese in it until I got nearly half way through. I’ve been strictly vegan for about 8 years so I haven’t eaten cheese in a long time. I talked to my server who originally told me “I may have to pay for the burrito considering I ate half” I spoke to the manager and explained what happened (I was mainly concerned with how sick I was going to be after leaving the restaurant) He gave me the option of more tacos, in place of the burrito.
Service was just not the best. I’m not sure if it was because so much focus was put on a larger table. I had to ask for salt from my server and the manager at least 3 times. I was never told happy birthday by the server or any staff. I wasn’t offered anything for my birthday. By the time I checked out and got parking validated, I felt rushed out. I’m quite disappointed as my birthday celebration was robbed of this experience. Unfortunately, I have been sick since leaving the restaurant with a very intense stomach ache and nausea, with a few other symptoms. If you have dietary restrictions or food allergies, make it very clear to your server and manager before ordering. Hopefully you will have a better...
