There are pros & cons here. Pros: rooms are nice & tables are comfy. The therapists are pretty solid. I like that I can schedule myself online & choose male/female. Music is relaxing, it’s clean & organized. They do validate parking for 2 hours if you park in the deck (entrance behind the building). The waiting area has snacks. Cons: it’s overpriced, you can get great massages for a good bit cheaper nearby. While the waiting area is nice, it’s very small (for 2 people only) & it’s very bright, not dark & relaxing like other places. My last therapist was oddly listening to a podcast or something on EarPods during my session - I don’t really care but I could hear it, which was distracting. Summing up: good experience, but overpriced compared to other nice spots in the area.

Massage magic tucked into the heart of Midtown! Let me tell you something, Jordan’s hands deserve their own holiday. I booked a 60-minute session and floated out feeling like tension had been evicted from my body. The space is deceptively large (yes, I got lost once, snack in hand, no shame!), but that just added to the charm. Think urban retreat vibes with a balcony that lets you soak in the hum of Midtown Atlanta. Sights, sounds, and the scent of eucalyptus hanging in the air. Validated parking (praise be) FSA/HSA friendly (hello, adulting!) Pricing that respects your budget and your back I’m officially a repeat client and you should be too. Walk in stressed, walk out blessed. Oh, tell them Golden sent you! Pro Tip: Book Jordan. Drink water. Rebook. Repeat.

edit Management called me immediately to address my experience. I’m being blown away by their amazing customer service. I’m looking forward to going back and giving someone else there a try. Based on how well they handled my concerns I needed to updates my review.

Honestly, I didn’t know if I was going to post this because I hate leaving bad reviews but I’m lying here trying to sleep and just so upset I wasted money here today. It was by far the worst massage of my life and I get them fairly frequently but I’m new to this area and my friend suggested it. Everyone at the desk was nice and even my massage therapist was nice but I didn’t need her to be nice. I needed her to be effective. I booked a deep tissue massage because I hold all my stress in my shoulders and I have an issue where if it doesn’t have enough pressure, I can’t even feel it. I explained this to my therapist and told her what areas to focus on. Not only did she not focus on the areas but she hardly massaged me at all and I couldn’t even feel her hands on me at one point. She’d softly rest her hands on me and just leave them there. At one point I thought she might have fallen asleep with her hands just resting on me. So, I asked for more pressure (as a way to guide her but also to make sure she was actually awake. I promise she had her hands on my back doing nothing for a full three minutes) She replied, “I took two courses one where you didn’t apply any pressure more than the weight of a nickel and one myofascial, which is more aggressive, and honestly the nickel one relaxed me more.” Well, when I explained that I literally couldn’t feel anything and I needed to be rubbed deeper. She told me that those muscle shouldn’t be rubbed aggressive to be relaxed. Ugh, I reminder… I literally booked a deep tissue massage. She took the last 2 minutes to kinda jiggle my shoulder blades aggressively and explain why there was tension there. Then, the massage was over with literally all the tension left because when I say THIS WOMAN RESTED HER HAND ON MY BACK LIKE A SLEEPING CHILD WOULD UPON THEIR MOTHER… I am not exaggerating. I literally wasted my entire hour and my money there and I’m more upset now than when I walked in there. I’m upset I went there and I’m upset I didn’t speak to someone while on the spot but I was just so confused when I walked out about what just happened I didn’t know what to say. A friend was with me and she said she had a great massage. So it could have just been my therapist but either way my money is gone and my back definitely was not rubbed. It was the most wild experience. If you try this location my biggest key of advice would be to not get Ren as your therapist. I’m just so...

I’ve been coming to the Art of Touch for years and have seen quite a few of their wonderful therapists. Online booking for appointments is simple and easy. Upon arrival, the reception area is bright and open. The front desk staff are very friendly and efficient. As you venture past check-in, the space is just stunning. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Midtown, outdoor balconies and artwork by local artists on the walls surround you as you walk and settle into the comfortable waiting area. Tea, water and other light refreshments are usually available. Treatment rooms are very clean and well-appointed. Calming instrumental music and heated tables (both adjustable to your preference) as well as soft lighting add to the ambience of the space. Several different massage types are available and each therapist has their own style and area of expertise so don’t be shy about asking the front desk or manager for suggestions as to which therapist and massage modality will likely be the best match for you and your needs. However, every therapist I’ve encountered over the years is lovely with their own unique energy and vibe and every massage has been very good! Taking the time to listen, getting to know you and your problem areas and customizing the massage to each client is what really sets Art of Touch apart from anywhere else. I’ve found targeted massage to be the perfect complement to the physical therapy I had already started to rehab a hip injury that prevented me from being the very active person I’ve always been. Keeping up a regular schedule of both now has me outside running, hiking and doing all.the.things again! Plus, it’s a great way to unwind your mind and relax which is so important to our overall well-being. For others who may be struggling with any kind of chronic sports-related injury or health condition, adding massage to your healing toolbox can be invaluable to getting you back out there…stronger and...

A good friend and client of this spa purchased a gift card from this shop for me last year for Valentines Day. I was so happy to receive it. Unfortunately; I had to deploy for a mission overseas. I just returned and tried to use my gift card and their rep told me "It's expired, out of the system and there's nothing we can do about it". I checked the site and it is still in fact in the system. I asked her if she'd be willing to make an exception and honor the certificate for a veteran and she bluntly replied, "No. There's nothing we can do." No credit, nothing. Wow....It's not like I'm asking something for nothing. She paid good money and even added a tip on the card.

I'm very, very dissapointed. I called my friend who purchased it & who was was also recommeded by a girlfriend of hers and they've told me, neither will go back.

UPDATE:

My sincerest apologies for not editing my prior review sooner. Well, all I have to say is, "The Art Of Touch Therapeutic Massage Center Mgmt." was ON IT! The manager promptly responded to me after the prior review and asked if we could have a conversation to remedy the situation.

Now, he didn't have to do this as my gift certificate had, in fact, expired, but he decided to accommodate me anyway, and I was very appreciative.

The Art of Touch Center is very different in aesthetics from other parlors. It also doubles as an art studio, with wonderful pieces of contemporary urban art adorning its walls. The aroma is fresh and aromatic, and soft, relaxing music plays, adding to the ambience.

My masseuse asked my what my physical concerns might be, any areas that she should concentrate on, and if there was anything else she should know. We spoke briefly, and she got right to business. My massage was firm and very enjoyable.

All in all, I had an absolutely wonderful experience, and I thank Management again for taking a sad situation and turning it into...
