I went to this salon 3x in a row before I wrote this review, didn't cheat and go to another nail salon in-between all 3 services, came back every single time I needed my nails updated (every two weeks with an acrylic full set), made an appt each time. I didn't try and squeeze myself in on a saturday.
After coming 3x I have to say I wont be back, the first service was FANTASTIC, nail shaped perfectly, gel polish covered covered the entire nail, nail shape was perfect, length was exactly what I asked for. Was excited to come back for my fill!
Second time, not so great, nails were lumpy, and shape was different on a few nails, so I had to ask them to fix it during the service. I kept asking, can you make them shorter please these are not what I asked for and the tech wouldn't cut them down further just kept half filing and filing a little more, wasting so much time...but me having to say 'hey this nail is lumpy' or 'this nail is leaning to the left' seemed odd, cant they see their own work? I shouldn't have to correct them, after finishing them the tech still couldn't get the nails to match shape and length but I wanted to give it one more try so I can try a different tech.
Third time was today and I wont be returning.
They charged me an extra $5 bc I asked for my nails to be a bit shorter. If the nail length wasn't what I wanted during the second service, obviously my nails grow, the fill should include going back to the original nail length during the initial service, ESPECIALLY because I'm coming back to the same place, not to mention the tech did say my nails looked lumpy and uneven...so the former tech screwed them up and you're trying to charge me to fix them?
That doesnt make sense, if I went to another salon in-between of course, I will pay for them to fix the nails, but errors from a tech in the same salon should be fixed and coming back for a fill shouldn't cost more to bring down the length when all they do is tap your nail with the drill then shape it, which they'd have to do anyway with a fill.
Going back to my regular salon where they dont uncharge you for each little thing, or to fix their own techs errors...I desperately wanted to like this place because its closer to me but I'll drive the distance for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came in here because I was nearby, the salon was empty, and I was in a rush, but please donāt make the same mistake that I did. I just asked for a chin and eyebrow wax, but after what was done to my chin I couldnāt let her touch my eyebrows.
After waiting over 15 minutes (which defeated the entire purpose of being in a rush) I was finally called back to start the waxing. This waxing experience was so aggressive and ungraceful and just generally unpleasant. Please find below a photo of the scarring left from her literally tearing the skin off my chin. That is not supposed to happen when you ask someone to wax your chin. Be careful how you choose your salons, and definitely donāt choose this one for waxing.
One pro is that it was very clean inside, but that didnāt matter much as my chin was burning on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have tried at least 10 other nail shops in the area over the last 2 years, and Serene is HANDS DOWN the best in the area. My go-to is SNS, and many of the salons in the area donāt know how to properly remove & apply without causing damage to my natural nail. Serene is the only salon Iāve used where I donāt experience cracking or breaking of the natural nails or of the SNS. I love that at Serene, you donāt have to schedule or wait for a specific nail tech because everyone there is professional, efficient, and takes their time to do a good job on whatever service you want to have done. That being said, Bella & Vivian do an especially great job with manicures and SNS. Pedicures here are good too, but I donāt get...
