I wish I was able to rate lower. Recently I went to helzberg diamonds to search for an engagement ring. Not knowing much about diamonds I was reliant on their customer service which I thought was good at the time. I told the assistant manager Chris that I was looking for a solitaire he showed me one that wasn't quite what I was looking for, he then showed me a very nice ring exactly what I thought I was looking for. I purchased he had it sized. At no point did Chris advise me to use a loop or a microscope to inspect the ring being a novice I didn't know any better .Upon receiving the ring I realized that the ring I purchased was not a solitaire but actually four smaller diamonds made up the center piece. I told him that this was not what I looking for and I would like to go ahead and return the ring per the 30 day money back guarantee he had told me about prior to purchase . Chris then informed me that since the ring had been sized I would not be able to return or exchange the ring only upgrade the center stone. His idea was for me to purchase a second engagement ring that contained a very low quality diamond and combine the two so now I would own two engagement rings. I told them this was unacceptable and I would be speaking to corporate.corporate got in touch with the store and spoke to Christy the store owner who then contacted me stating that I could exchange the ring( so I can exchange but not return what??) I thought I would give this a try.I once again spoke to Chris as the store manager Christy didn't speak to me or apologize for this inconvenience nor did Chris. Chris once again tried to mislead me, he wanted me to exchange my ring for the previous mentioned one carat ring this time I inspected the ring more closely and asked to use a microscope having done some basic research now I realized that he was most definitely lying to me the stone was full of inclusions even tho he stated that it was an si2 rating which he shouldn't have been able to state considering it was an uncertified diamond. I am now back to dealing with corporate waiting to hear back from the regional manager. Overall this has been the worst customer experience of my life to say the least. This situation has sapped the joy from an experience that should be one of the happiest of my life and has ruined my...
Read moreYesterday I was doing some shopping and walked past this store. I remembered my engagement ring was in my purse (filthy from my son getting to it and playing with it in some oranges!) I simply asked if they were able to clean it for me. Morgan was the one to greet me and offered to help. I explained why it was so dirty while feeling a bit embarrassed. She made me feel so relaxed and that it wasn’t a big deal. While inspecting it, Morgan asked if I knew one of my prongs were bent. I told her unfortunately yes, which is why I haven’t been wearing it and that’s how my son was able to get to it. She proceeded to clean my rings so well they looked brand new. She didn’t stop there though! Morgan offered to fix the prong for me because she said I should be able to wear my ring. I was so impressed! My husband usually shops at another jewelry store, but I took Morgan’s card and gave it to my husband last night. I told him going forward he must go here lol. He agreed as he could tell how happy I was to have my ring back. Morgan was so great and friendly! She didn’t make me feel bad about the state of my ring and she went over and above for someone who wasn’t even buying anything. You cannot train or pay people to be that genuine. It comes from within! Therefore, we will be back to buy something...

Shoped at the Auburn Hills location. My wifes "forever" ring broke!??! So i took it in, an employee, I'll call him"the old man" insults me, now it involves the manager who handled me perfectly. Fast forward 3 weeks -- wife goes to pick up her ring, everything looks good. She buys a watch. The wrap on the ring where the repair was made catches on everything, tore some hair out of her head. Takes it back. Again a repair is made. Returns weeks later to pick up the ring. It was handed back to me missing a diamond!!! The same old man insults her and insists these things happen!! Manager insists that she will do anything..... except she cant. My wifes $7k ring makes her cry because she feals like its not her ring and it might break or diamonds will fall out. Sad, just sad. I have spent 10's of thousands with this company and this is how we get treated.
Update to the story Emily Burman needs a raise!! Truthfully, this young lady and her coworker/comanager went above and beyond! I did have to loose my mind in the process however this duo really took excellent care of us. The most important thing is that my beautiful bride is throughly happy and excited to show off her new ring! Thank you Emily! Wherever you go is where I will spend my...
