lol , i just want to address the “racial profiling” comments about this store . no one is ever rude based on the color of your skin at this location . i was shopping with a black woman (we weren’t together, she was just another customer) and the employees treated her the same way they treated me . they do pay attention to what you’re looking at because the whole point of the BOUTIQUE is to help the customers find something they’re looking for or even help them pick out something . once they see you have something , they will ask if you want to try it on , they’ll take it to the dressing room for you and the cycle continues . they don’t think you’re trying to steal , it’s legit how the business is set up. this was my first experience at a clothing store like this , and honestly i love it !! getting treated with respect and kindness is very rare to find in Augusta . all they’re trying to do , is HELP YOU OUT ! that’s the difference between here and Target or Walmart or even the mall . no one cares about you or what you’re doing , but here , it’s genuine ! Yes ,it’s a bit pricey but i don’t care , i’ll come here to get nice clothes than Target . The girl even went to the back and grabbed a couple of outfits that were similar to the ones i was interested in and let me try them on , AND gave me suggestions on what would look good on me. but i was also nice to them and talked to them with respect , can’t say the same for the ones talking about “racial profiling” cuz yall were probably rude to them over the fact that the clothes are made for smaller women and the women who worked there were white girls… how are you gonna complain about something and then describe exactly how the boutique is supposed to work ? that makes no sense . you’re just wanting to find something to complain about and the fact that you’re a colored woman shouldn’t be the main subject here , because it’s wrong and you’re wrong for leaving a bad review on a clothing store that isn’t like most. if you don’t like how the people run this boutique, and by that i mean HELPING OUT CUSTOMERS (because they don’t have baskets or shopping carts) , then go back to Target or Walmart or wherever it is that you shop at , and leave these people alone . they’re doing their jobs. isn’t it funny when you treat people nice , they reciprocate that back ? this is 2025 , respect is a MAIN PART of how YOU get treated . you give respect, you get respect . that’s how that works🤣 try again with a better attitude towards folks and your experience will probably go a lot...
Read moreI experienced true racial profiling today, and I’m still in disbelief.
From the moment I walked into the boutique, the energy was cold and unwelcoming. No greeting, no “how are you?”, no offer of help—just silence. I continued browsing, picked up a bodysuit and asked the associate if it ran big. Her response? A dismissive, “I guess—it looks big.”
Still, I continued shopping, picking up a few more items. She asked if I wanted them placed in the dressing room—fine, no issue there. But then, as soon as I picked up a pair of pants (literally just picked them up), she immediately asked again, “Can I put those in the dressing room?” I said no—I hadn’t even had the chance to look at them yet.
Then she walked to the back, and the other employee came over, saw the pants in my hand, and said, “Do you want me to put those on the counter?” I couldn’t believe it. Back-to-back comments and actions that made it crystal clear: they assumed I was going to steal.
I am a successful business owner and teacher. There is absolutely nothing I need to steal. The treatment I received today was insulting and rooted in racial bias. I should not have made a purchase at all—but I did, because I refused to let ignorance dictate my actions.
To the owner of this franchise: train your staff. Your employees need a serious lesson in professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and basic customer service. They nearly made me get out of character—but I kept my composure.
Maybe they need to enroll in one of my classes on...
Read moreT. Dash, I read your review today feeling the exact same way you felt I visited this store today at 3:35 p.m. I walked in the door and there were two employees. Neither one of the employees acknowledged me in the store and didn't ask if I needed help and didn't give eye contact. As I was walking around the store just browsing the employees turned and started watching me. I asked one of the employees if I could try on a pair of pants and her response to me was you can use any dressing room mind you that was my first time in the store. The employee did not direct me to a fitting room just told me that I could use any fitting room. While in the fitting room I could see around the curtain the employee came and stood by the fitting room door. I came out of the fitting room and the employees quickly took the pants out of my hand. I informed the employee that I wanted to purchase the pants. Against my better judgement I did make a purchase but I was not going to let them stop me from getting what I wanted. The employee PSenter completed my transaction. She started going on and on about if I needed to make returns make sure the tags are attached I have 15 days and I informed her that I know the return policy thank you. I have looked at many of the reviews and I agree that the clothes are cute but bad customer service to...
