Perhaps this was truly on my part, but it was who took it that changed the situation gor me entirely. I had done this before with a watchful eye. For the second time, I left my phone to charge at Starbucks about an hour and half before close (of Target, Starbucks was already closed and dark). Now, mind you, my phone wasn't the best condition anymore, with a cracked screen, no service, and no SIM card. It was my worthless phone that was my ONLY way of contacting family. I am from out of state, so I have nothing nor nobody here besides my fiancé. When we decide to leave, my charger was left behind with the chair turned around like someone was trying to unlock the screen of my phone before taking it. Luckily, they never managed to unlock it, and they never will. At this point, it probably has been tossed.
The next two days pass and I want to head to the library to use the computers. I had the idea of checking the last location of my phone through my Google Activity. Lo and behold, it just so happened to be taken outside of the store an hour after the store closes. Which can only mean one thing: an employee had taken it. We had already talked to the security guard once at this point with not much help. He tells me to return by about 9am to talk with him and police. That never happened, and I got a different security guard instead. Also unhelpful. They said "many" people entered and left the cafe around the times specified. When asked if there were employees, the answer of "many"people was repeated. My fiancé brought it up to the customer service lady that it left the building an hour after close. He asked how many customers are still here by that time. She said none. He pointed out that it would have hax to have been an employee, to which she had a rude remark behind. It was definitely an employee, we know that now. My phone is forever lost, and I can no longer trust any staff here because of that...
Read moreBuyer beware! So I purchased a Google play card here and the code came off. Their response was to refer me to the Google website. I asked them about the verification of purchase that other stores provide, I didn't receive one with my receipt and there wasn't anything with my electronic copy. Their response, we don't provide that service here
Thankfully, I did finally figure out how to get help on the Google play website... It definitely wasn't as easy as going to the website on the back of the card.
You really have to explore and dig. Great customer service would be to train your staff to navigate the site, so they can actually teach us to do the same... saving your customers time and making it less of an inconvenience that you are unwilling to stand behind the sale of the gift card. Or even having written directions that take your customers to the exact spot on the Google website.... instead it comes across that you don't care and it doesn't matter to you that I am out the money for the gift card you sold me.
In the end, I have a choice where I shop. I chose places that care about me and stand behind the products they sell. Maybe you could not replace the card. But you definitely could provide specific help to ensure that it was replaced by Google...A company like that deserves my business.
One that tells me good luck to you, figure it out on your own...won't be getting any more of my business than absolutely necessary.
I am definitely in the market for businesses to replace the things I used to purchase...
Read moreI've had nothing but problems with the store trying to return recalled item that can seriously injure me or my family. I get one story from corporate and then a completely different story from the store corporate tells me I can go in and return it no problems then I get to the store and they make me look like an idiot and reject the recall even though I bought it at their store they do not stand behind their product! it's very frustrating to the consumer to get the runaround from a company that supplied a product that could possibly injure me! hopefully one of these days Target can pull together and everybody be on the same page when one one corporates telling you one thing and the store itself is telling you something else it's a big problem and a headache and it makes the customer look like a fool and a clown, it's not a good experience! The customer service people here are extremely rude and condescending they come off with a very grandiose attitude and it is pathetic the consumers supposed to be correct in most circumstances this is one that I feel I should definitely not have to fight the return a recalled item and item that has been recalled by the federal government who is Target to tell me no? They should definitely stand behind the products that they sell! This is an experience that showed me different I will not go shopping bag at Target ever again! this is an experience I hope I never have to go through again and I hope no one else ever...
