My son purchased two pairs of dress pants from the Austin store a few weeks ago. After only wearing each pair a total of 6 times, the one side on both pairs of pants started to pill. He attempted to return them to the store but the manager refused to take them back. She said it was his fault and that it must be something he's doing as no one else has complained. Really!!!! I called and spoke with her after my son called me and after speaking with her, she still said that she couldn't return them as she didn't feel that this was a defect in the pants. After hanging up with her, I called their customer support department and spoke with a gentleman on the phone. He was very helpful and said no problem, send them back and they would refund his money. I was skeptical but the email came in while I was still on the phone! This is what I had heard dealing with DXL was like but apparently not with the stores. When I asked him why the manager didn't do this in the first place, he said he couldn't understand why either. I was going to send my other son there but not now. Neither my husband or sons will shop at the store and we will tell everyone not to shop...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat customer service. Pretty good selection. They have a tailor on site. In addition, they offer good advice on putting outfits together, which is great for guys like me who don't really know how. Prices are steep, but that is to be expected. If you are a big/tall guy and walk into one of these stores expecting Walmart prices, you are an idiot. The stuff they sell is quality, and the prices are similar to what you will find online, but what you don't get online is a person helping you or the "in store experience" that some of us still prefer. I wish they had a larger selection of solid color ties. As a company and not the local store, I do not like their rewards program. It's pretty cheesy that they automatically send you a card in the mail at 300 points and there are no options to "save up". In addition, they expire like regular coupons, so it's a double kick in the balls at the register. Oh, and there's no way to recover the rewards points after they mail out the card. It's really nice finding that out considering how easy it is to run up a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThisā¦was the first, and the LAST place, I will EVER get sized and fitted.
I had an emergency party I had to wear formal attire to. Now. We all shopping hereā¦you know Iām a big dude. But inside DXL, I felt like a kid in a candy shop. The sizes in there are all numbered upwards, so theyāre sizes that truly reflect US, and not make us feel like outsiders.
And Lori? Maaaaaan, Loriās THAT GIRL. She sized me again and again to ensure the fit, and even gave me a new confidence boosting term-āthiccaliciousā. Lmao.
I got sized for a nice black vest and white shirt, and formal black pants AND got a belt. She was funny, engaging, and informative. I couldnāt have asked for a better experience.
The best part? I wanted a tie that matched with my spouseās dress, so I BROUGHT THE DRESS IN on another day and she matched it with a tie she had in stock PERFECTLY. Dare I say, her and I dazzled at the event.
Dudeā¦if youāre big like me and TIRED of small @55 clothes in Austin, go here. You can hate me if Iām...
