Willis' Rock Shop — Local services in Bar Harbor

Wonderful store! I am so glad I found Willis' Rock Shop. They have a beautiful selection of Maine tourmaline at very fair prices. Their tourmaline cabochon jewellery is cut and set on site. I purchased a great piece at a reasonable price. I started my trip in Bar Harbor and headed south. I wasn't sure it was a good idea to make such a large purchase so early in my trip, but I am so glad I did. We met the owner who was super helpful and knowledgeable. We picked out some acetate slices and without asking she made sure to let us know which were natural and which were colored. We had a decorating idea to try hanging the slices on a wall and she was honest in telling us she had never tried it. (In case she reads this, we epoxied a small ring on the back and it seems to hold just fine.)

The rocks there can be expensive but when going but, if you are familiar with buying crystals, you know when something is a good deal or not. I did buy a bag of rocks for $5 which isn't bad but the singular rocks which are more high quality can be more pricer.
