KAY Jewelers — Local services in Bastrop

I went to the Kay’s Jeweler in Bastrop needing a necklace fixed. I was told that since Kay’s and Zales are owned by same people that you could take product to either location. I found out today that this not true. I brought my necklace at Zales and needed it repaired so I went to Kay’s thinking that they would fix it.Lets just say if you don’t look a certain way your will get the cold shoulder. I was originally told it would cost around $130 to $150. The young guy that was helping me went to ask an older gentleman and he said no it will be $200. Not one time did the older gentleman acknowledge me. I was the only one in the store you would think they would do everything they could to get me to have the chain fixed. Nope!! I know why I stop shopping at Kay’s. There Customer Sevice was sub-par. I would not recommend this location. I would just go to Austin. Lastly, I called Zales why I was still at the store and they were pleasnt and told me I could bring the chain back to them and the pendant also and they would clean the pendant. Shame on Kay’s! It was such a pleasant experience at this location, Richard is the person that helped my husband and I. We came from Austin to this location due to poor service and the drive was worth it. He is extremely experienced and knowledgeable answered any and all our questions we had and helped us fix our problems with certain jewelry we needed looked into. It was a relief talking with him and having him help and fixing the problem. Will be definitely coming to this location for further service and purchases for now on. I went into Kay Jewelers looking for something special to bury with my grandmother when she passed - I wanted something that was a blend of my taste and hers. Amanda was such an excellent help to me in a very difficult time - she was empathetic and kind and genuinely cared for what I was going through.
