I had a short term lease at AMLI and I enjoyed the experience I had. While it wasn't perfect the staff was friendly and very accommodating.
5* Customer Service I want to start off by saying the customer service for AMLI was excellent. I had most of my questions answered (via email) within 30 minutes. The team was super nice and very accommodating. Example, I was out of the country on my move in date so I had my girl friend pick up my keys and start the move in process. They understood the situation and were more than happy to accommodate. 4* Community/Apartment While I see some people complain about the apartment always being worked on I think this is a positive thing. It shows that they care about the building, and keeping the building in good condition. As a tenant this is important to me because no one wants to see chipped paint, or a broken sign. The apartment was newly renovated and decently designed, with slightly better than average appliances. The ding in rating comes from when moving in I was given a fob that didn't work for the door only the garage. I was immediately given a temp fob that did work, however we never did resolve the fob issue. Another thing that was a little weird. The apartment seemed newly renovated and in good condition however less than 1 month after move in there were 2 separate occasions they needed to enter my apartment and address things. I felt like these could of either waited, or been done before move in. 4* Process I think its important to call out that things overall were great and with the amazing staff on site helped a lot. The things I call out in this section (all things considered) are minor but worth calling out because when renting here or anywhere the details are important. There were a few things where the dates were messed up some big some small but paying attention to something like that is important because it can make a pretty big difference especially to someone who travels a lot for work. Last thing I was told they have a limited time offer with savings for move in, however more than a month later it seems that offer is still going.
4.5* Overall I think the staff was great, the fact we can communicate online or in person works really well for me. The fact that almost everything is digital is a huge plus for record keeping. If you are someone who is looking for a dog friendly community close to downtown Bellevue with a management company that doesn't just collect rent and sit on it. I recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have lived in apartments for the past 11 years in various cities across the country. AMLI is the WORST apartment experience I have had EVER. When we wanted to see the apartment the actual unit was unavailable to view and the leasing person told us that it has granite counter tops in the kitchen. When we got the unit it had laminate counter tops. When we brought this up with AMLI they straight up refused to acknowledge and said they cannot help us. The apartment building is constantly under construction and repairs. They charge you for amenities which are not available. The gym and business center were closed for part of the year for construction work. There are fire alarms going off every other week. The apartment had a water leakage problem in about 8 units and they put up industrials fans and de-humidifiers in the unit. When we complained about the noise from the fans they asked us to move into a hotel (in the middle of a pandemic) and to figure it out with renters insurance. They forced us to keep the fans and dehumidifiers turned on which made the unit inhospitable and the bathroom walls and insulation had been removed, but AMLI considered it as livable condition.
When we complained that they should rebate the rent since we were forced to stay at a hotel and eat outside for 10 days, they flat out denied. AMLI's leasing office people especially Leigh and Tiffany are extremely incompetent. They will go out of their way to make your stay unpleasant. We booked the elevators when moving in and moving out. While moving in they forgot to reserve it for us and while moving out they double booked us. While moving out I asked Tiffany what I was supposed to return and was told garage fob, apartment keys and mailbox keys. Returned those and got a bill for a garage tag for $50. When I called back they told me that its my fault that I did not return everything thats mentioned in the lease. Go figure!

Cons: Mail room is awkwardly situated in the parking lot and not connected to the East building, one of largest windows was broken which took 2 months to fix - the staff missed it during their inspection before we moved in, windows are NOT sound-proof which is extremely unfortunate given that we are woken everyday at 7am by the garbage truck (and we are deep sleepers!), and last but not the least electric board trips even when the air conditioner is switched off. Good luck trying to iron your clothes! Cheap electric system at its best.
And after the window repair, they never painted the window ledge despite calling the staff about it... So now we have a white ledge next to an unfinished brown one for the last 3 months in the middle of our lounge. "We're going through staff turnover and don't know when we'll be able to come to fix it". And no follow-ups after that. Extremely unprofessional given the rent we're being charged. And the cherry on top: the windows are different and placed right next to each other. 0/10 on aesthetics.
If you have kids who are light sleepers stay away from this place. This place is loud and the windows are not sound proof- You'll feel like you're living on the street.
Update July 19th: maintenance team said we got the "wrong" air-conditioner. Which is ironic because we had called the leasing office to ask about any specifications for the air conditioner before we bought it. And now the solution is to run an industrial grade orange extension from the lounge to the dining area which is our toddler's playroom. Brilliant management. I'm at my wits end... And oh the best part is that we have to turn off our TV to run the ac and vice versa. I wish I was kidding. And the leasing office is closed today due to an event. Again,...
