Gordon James Fine Diamonds — Local services in Bellevue

Literally don’t stop anywhere else. My fiancé and I stumbled upon this place after not being able to afford another place down the street. We thought it was a long shot because Bellevue tends to be so expensive, but nonetheless we figured we would stop by and inquire. I brought in my mom’s wedding ring which was missing the center diamond.

Right away I was met by Matthew, the son of the couple who started this family business. He was super kind and personable and really wanted to find something that would fit our budget. He started by cleaning my mom’s ring which has been collecting dust since she passed in 2000. This meant a lot to us. He also found a diamond that was the same as the original size and I was surprised to find it was in our budget.

We still shopped around after meeting with them…but honestly let me save you some time. We went to two other local places & several chains like Zales, Ben Bridge, Shane Co & Helzberg and none of them compared to Gordon James.

Those experiences pretty much sucked in every way. They were hella salesy and you could tell you were just hearing the same lines they tell everyone else (with the exception of one of the other local places). They all offered diamonds that were half the size as this one for a more expensive price. They don’t have homemade caramels from the Raine’s family recipe ;) (GJ has them in their store & they are so freaking good you guys).

They seriously go above and beyond. I cannot recommend this place enough. I don’t buy fine jewelry often but when I do in the future I will go to them. 💛

P.S. they also resized my ring and set my diamond for a low...

My fiancé is someone who spends hours and hours (and days and days) just deciding which flight to take on a vacation, so when he picked Gordon James Fine Diamonds I had no doubt this was the best option, and yet I was still blown away by my experience there. We went in and met with Matt for a wedding band and I had a few vague ideas of what I wanted but nothing concrete. We looked at a few bands but none of them quite seemed to fit what I wanted. That evening I went home and doodled my idea. I sent it to Matt, and without hesitation he got to work.

I didn’t expect him to match the drawing so precisely but you can see for yourself! Matt and Gordon’s fine diamonds just go the extra mile with a demeanor that says they really care about you, not just making a sale.

I can’t recommend them enough over and over again.

P.s. little added bonus: pick up a compliment homemade caramel made by Gordon himself! If they ever leave jewelry business, they’ll have no issues making it in the confectionary world. BEST....
