If you’re reading this, you’re considering getting your hair did at Joe Bae Salon. So you should know that Joe wouldn’t hire anyone but the best. All the stylists are excellent. Where Mr. Pancho Ladinos (ig: @delpanch) differs from the rest of the staff is he’s a classically trained barber; meaning his chair tilts all the way back and he has state approval to wield slightly more dangerous tools for hair removal.

It is a plain irony that a man so expert at shaving should cover his face with a beard. But it is a magnificent beard, so you’ll forgive him. If your shaving experience is anything like mine, you’re in for a real treat. You’ll immediately notice Pancho’s firm handshake, which says ‘trust me’ while his immaculate beard whispers ‘I can teach you how to change a tire and carve a stump into a bear with a chainsaw’. I have no doubt that with the right training, Pancho’s steady hands could perform heart surgery. The shave itself involves approximately 7 steps (pre-shave balm, hot towel, lather, soap, the shave, then some kind of balm and a vibrating massage step from temple to chin). I can’t tell you anything beyond that because my eyes were covered the whole time. But all the steps smelled fantastic.

I came out of the 15 minute experience feeling 10 years younger and a hundred years wiser. A lady in the parking lot may have hit a tree with her car because she was admiring Pancho’s work tuning my face up. I’m not saying that you’ll be elected president of Earth if you let Pancho shave your face. But I am saying I went to Home Depot after my appointment and people in orange bibs were asking me questions about their tools and projects.

Why 5 stars? Because google won’t let me give 6. Any straight razor shave that doesn’t leave you with razor burn or bleeding should get 3 or 4 stars. Pancho surpasses that standard with flying colors. He is a master of the lost art of straight...

The salon itself has a great atmosphere, with super friendly and professional staff. From the moment you walk in the team makes you feel like that they are all there to ensure you the best experience.

Most importantly, and I can't stress this enough, Joe is an amazing hair stylist. Attentive and highly skilled. I am VERY picky with my hair and especially with the coloring. This time I was doing a single-process coloring trying to get back to my natural hair color, and the result was even better than I could have wished for. Joe really takes his time to listen to what you want, make sure that you feel like you're a part of the process and decision making while giving realistic advice depending on your hair. I left feeling more satisfied than ever with my hair. The color and cut was perfect! (note, if not THE best haircut and coloring I've ever had.)

It's impossible not to notice how passionate Joe is and how great of a team they all are. If you're looking for a salon where you will be guaranteed to leave feeling so well taken care of, this is the place to go to! If I could, I would give the salon and Joe 10 stars....

Five years ago, I had a nightmare cut at a different salon and came to Joe Bae Salon in tears, asking if anyone could fix the super short butcher job of a different stylist. Lindsay came to the rescue and I've been with her ever since.

I'm immunocompromised, so the last time I got my hair cut professionally was in February B.C. (Before COVID19). Am finally fully vaccinated, but was still super worried about being in public as the health risks for me are pretty high. I was grateful to see a sign on the door requiring everyone to mask up despite the relaxed CDC guidelines. Inside, everyone wore masks, there are plastic barriers between each work station, and I saw several air purifiers. Safety-wise, I could not have felt better.
