I recently visited this charming Italian-inspired eatery and was immediately drawn in by its cozy, intimate atmosphere. The space is on the smaller side and tends to fill up quickly, so it's a smart move to reserve a table ahead of a weekend visit. I went with a group of friends for a girls’ night out, and we had a fantastic time together.
We shared a pizza and ordered two pasta dishes, plus we had the option to order an entire bottle of wine rather than just a glass. The pizza of the day featured a delectable pasticcio sauce that was creamy, refreshing, and just the right amount of salty—perfectly portioned for one to two people. We also tried the Pappardelle Bolognese; the uniquely wide pasta truly set it apart from what you usually see elsewhere. When we were still a bit hungry, we opted for the Rigatoni Alla Vodka, which came with spicy sausage. While I was expecting a stronger vodka taste, the bold flavor of the spicy sausage turned out to be an interesting twist.
To finish off our meal, we couldn’t resist the day's special dessert—Panna Cotta. Its distinctive, gelatinous texture and charming, jiggly presentation made it a delightful end to our dinner.
This spot is a perfect choice for a date or a fun night out with friends, especially if you’re in the mood for a shared bottle of wine and a truly authentic...
Read moreThis establishment charges YOU tax on top of their mandatory 20% gratuity that they claim is a Washington state requirement. This is a blatant lie. By taking away the patron's option to give whatever tip they feel is earned, and instead forcing the patron to pay 20% gratuity on top of the bill as a part of the bill, the establishment now owes the State tax because they have taken away the patron's voluntarily tip privilege. Washington state does not require a service charge gratuity to be taxed if it is a voluntary option - as is expected at most establishments (that blank tip line). This is a way for this establishment to take money from their patrons to pay THEIR taxes under the guise of "helping to pay their employees a minimum of $15/hr". I would never recommend going to an establishment where they put the burden of their tax responsibilities on their patrons.
Outside of this absurd policy, the prices are just silly expensive. Tiny tables accommodate as many people as they can fit. The one star goes to the servers who were really nice and the superb bread salad that had a lovely and unexpected spiciness to it.
Shame on this business for manipulating their patrons to pay for a...
Read moreGreat atmosphere, even better food, & the best staff! We arrived around 7pm on a Thursday night without a reservation and chose to sit at the bar with no wait. Ordered a Burrata (house made fig jam, burrata, honey, sea salt, crostini) and Funghi (white pizza, taleggio, mushroom, sage, truffle oil). The pizza’s are prepared right behind the bar seating so we could see all the delicious cooking and the kitchen staff told us about the ingredients as he was slicing prosciutto. Burrata was great, good balance of sweet and salty. One of the staff kindly offered us a booth that had opened up and we happily accepted. The Funghi pizza was then served. Rectangular shaped and a bit smaller than a large size round pizza, just enough for the two of us after having enjoyed the burrata. The dough was very airy and delicious even by itself; the pizza was amazing and the mushroom tasted very fresh. We saved some of the crust and asked for the honey to dip it in as a desert. Several other customers were dressed semi-formal to formal but we felt comfortable in our more laid back outfit choices. Price is on the $$ to $$$ side but makes sense given the experience! The staff and service was...
