It is nice to have JM store in PNW/Bellevue area. The store is mighty and stylish. I had a couple of shopping and event experience at this location.
Here are a couple of my highlights: -Complimentary Valet Parking is available -AC is a little lacking inside the store -Staff are very knowledgeable and are really there to sale you -Complimentary gifts with purchases: The SA logged each item and limited selection and no repeats. It's awkward. I prefers you don't offer me any extra in this case. Compared to our Nordstorm JM shopping experience, Nordstorm is much more generous and fun.
During my recent experience, I visited the store with a friend. The SA was super informative on telling us the products. During our girl time of chit chatting and shopping, the SA kept on interrupting our conversation in order to tell us yet another products. We felt like there is a sales checklist she had to hit on us to be mission accomplished. Last but not least, the gesture of "moving" you to open your IG to follow them and strongly "hinting/encouraging" you to post/tag them with purchases were done the opposite way of elegant. It's so not the JM impression to me. After picking out my purchases, the SA is selling me another thing at the register. At that point, we were pretty turned off and annoyed. It reminds me of the old time share presentation. But, you are representing JM. The delicate fragrances supposes to make me to feel relax and be happy. And, that's not how we felt at all.
I understand the sales goals, etc. The store is located in a "newer" building with lower foot traffic. It is also right across from Nordstorm; carries JM products as well. It's competitive for sure.
There is a better way to create sales opportunities and educate your customers. I purchased items that were unique at the JM store. This sales environment doesn't work for us with this SA. It's better to be open and up front about your sales/offer.
Nowadays, majority of the customers are pretty smart. Milking will not earn you return customers. My prior experience here was not like this. I hope this store will either revisit your customer experience strategy or address a potential...
Read moreWhat a treat! My husband and I are not the "high end luxury perfume" types, but while merely browsing, Grace Braddock offered to give a hand and arm massage with scent layering of our choice. While we were enjoying this personalized care, another associate made us chai lattes. Goodness gracious! We felt all cozy even though the door was open on a chilly day. Grace listened attentively to our scent preferences and it was such a refreshing experience. She gives calming massages too. Very good at connecting with her customers in an authentic manner. In the end, the price point was a bit too high for us (we don't have luxury-sized pockets), and fragrance isn't something we spend on usually, but our experience here was so wonderful that I had to comment. Grace...
Read moreWhat a beautiful boutique! This was my first time in a Jo Malone London shop, and it was perfection! The team was helpful, professional, and very accommodating. Everyone was delightful. I was offered a complimentary beverage while I browsed, and they even have luxury services! If you’re searching for a first class shopping experience, I highly recommend the Bellevue Avenue boutique! It’s next door to the InterContinental Hotel, where they offer FREE valet parking while you’re at Jo Malone! If I could rate them more than five stars, they’d be a ten! To my husband, if you’re reading this, I’d love a 2nd bottle of Dark Amber & Ginger Lily! Don’t forget the...
