Sweet Tooth Candy Shoppe — Local services in Bend

So disappointed by the way we were treated today at this location. I took my six year old son here to get candy with his money he received from the tooth fairy. He was so excited! When we went in, I saw him use the tongs for the Swedish fish, but he changed his mind and put them back (didn’t touch them). I told him that I will grab him a bag to put the candy in. As I was getting the bag, I looked over and saw my child out his hand in the jar. Just as I was telling him he couldn’t do that, the gentleman who I believe to be the owner yelled at my child from across the store, frightening him. My son is very sensitive and I could see he was embarrassed and about to cry. I told the gentleman to not yell at my son it was a a accident he didn’t mean anything by it. He then continued to yell and argue with me saying it happened twice (which only saw the one time) and how unsanitary it is. He completely lost his cool. I understand the unsanitary part of it. Especially with COVID. I am not arguing that, but the way the situation was handled was so unprofessional. I would think that you would have more patience with children if you open up a candy store. My son cried all the way home apologizing for touching the candy....

I was treated horribly my first time ever going here. I was just looking at the candy, I went to look at the newer flavors of the ooze tubes, I set it back down in the place I got it, and the employee comes up to me and asks to check my sleeves and pockets very disrespectfully. I showed her the exact tube I had set back down and she still told me to show her my sleeves and I did it twice for her!! She asked twice!! She also checked all my pockets and when I was doing so my boyfriend asked what was going on and the employee completely ignored him. If you have dyed hair and piercings these employees will treat you horribly and assume the absolute worst of you. I don't recommend ever shopping here. If I could leave less than a 1 star...

Lots of variety & the grand kids love it, but half the candy is old & stale. Allsorts, Twizzlers & so much else should not be rock hard.

Update to say I did not purchase stale candy, I left what was stale in the store, so an offer of a refund is appreciated, but not necessary. Check the allsorts. Check the twizzlers (new box with 1 package missing, but clearly has been there a while). Check the million dollar bars. All hard when should be soft. A small squeeze is all it takes to see what is stale. Jelly beans were good as were the hard candies, so that's what we went with. The kids found things they liked that were fine as far as...
