A nice place to stop for lunch in Bend with soup, salad, and traditional plates including Kalua Pork. The menu has a number of healthy options for the mixed plates including salad, brown rice and steamed broccoli. I reviewed the menu and ordered a Kalua Pork Plate with a salad and brown rice with a Hawaiian Sun drink. The salad arrived after a short wait and the rest of the order arrived about ten minutes later. The brown rice was moist and had good taste. The Kalua Pork was a little dry and a mild taste to it. Located in the Old Mill District in Bend next to the movie theater on SW Powerhouse Drive. Outdoor seating area was a little full, but the indoor space had plenty of tables available. A nice menu with the option to have two three items on a mixed plate including Kali-Bi (short ribs) and Spicy Chicken. Friendly service, solid food, and a number of different menu options make this a good choice for lunch in Bend.

This place is incredible! Amazing Hawaiian food! I had the mix plate with chicken teriyaki and kalua pork, 2 scoops white rice and Mac salad as my two sides. The meat was delicious, the rice was cooked to perfection, and the Mac salad (not in the picture) was delicious as well. The only thing I would say is it's a little spendy at $13.95 and I wish the portions were bigger. But if you want great Hawaiian food then I would highly recommend. Can't wait to go back and try their other entrees. Edit: the 2nd image is the Sauteed Lemon Herb chicken, and the Beef Bulgogi. I think this was my favorite

we ordered the fried mandu, chicken teriyaki, chicken katsu, and kalua pork and all were amazing. the mandu was so crispy and the sauce was delicious. we got the kalua pork cooked with cabbage and it was so good. the teriyaki and katsu sauce we’re both tasty and we had plenty, i hate when there isnt enough sauce, but this place was a great amount. the mac salad was pretty good too, and we were happy to enjoy a couple hawaiian sun drinks. we would definitely come back if we’re in the mood for hawaiian food!

Coming close to a million contribution views on Google Reviews... I actually care about putting out The Truth as I see it. Of the three places to get Hawaiian food in Bend this is by far far far my least favorite... If you don't believe me try all three for yourself. The Mac Salad is very blah. Barely any Teriyaki sauce on the chicken. Smallish portions. Pricing is outrageous. Over all, Not impressed at all... I was told we couldn't have noodles as a side on the mixed plate... Then I asked can I order noodles? She said yes you have to order it as a side??? 😂🤣😂 So is it a side or not? That is the million dollar question??? $42.00 dollars before Tip.. for a Spicy chicken plate, Teriyaki chicken plate, a side of noodles, a water bottle & sweet tea. When we got it home neither one if us wanted to finish dinner. Noodles were under cooked. Steamed Broccoli was under cooked. Teriyaki sauce is missing in action. I give a place 3 chances before putting the nails in the coffin... The case is closed on this one for me. 🤠 RIP Kona Mixed Plate ☠️ Everyone else trying is doing better Hawaiian...

Love this place, all the food I have eaten here is a 10/10. I don't know why I haven't explored their menu more, even though I have been here so many times over the course of 15 years. My usual food choices are their Ahi Poke (More spicy style and extra seaweed), the fried Mahi Mahi sandwich, and their Won Ton Chicken Noodle Soup (I add about a teaspoon of their Grandma sauce to amplify it to the next level of taste but it's perfectly fine as is). I've eaten about half of their menu from what I understand but I primarily enjoy those three items the most. I will come here whenever I'm in the area as it's usually why I'm ever in the old mill district. All who dare come here to enjoy something other than Merican food will have their taste buds delighted by flavors from across the sea. Although they still accommodate those who wish for otherwise. Me and my family know the owners and the chefs as long time friends and we always get treated well, although they treat everyone well if you do the same 😂. Anyone in the area should come here when they get the chance as you...

I went there with no expectations, however left with a bad experience. First ordered the 3 meat combo and the person at the counter rang it up as all teriyaki. I don't know about the rest of you but that is way too much salt. After asking if I could change to the spicy chicken and the kaluha pork the price increases with no mention to that on their menu. As I wait for the food the order taker is jabbing her head off with a coworker. I watch the food sit on the counter for some time and still chatting away. Several minutes later the order taker puts it in a bag and hands it to me. Food was decent, but if you want real good Hawaiian food go to Noho's in Medford, OR. Now that place not only treats you right, but the portions won't leave you hungry like this did. Hopefully this gets to management cause an experience is everything when it comes to a restaurant. I will never recommend this restaurant. I know we live in Bend, but really a snowboard on the wall of a Hawaiian restaurant. Other then that the...
