Coming close to a million contribution views on Google Reviews... I actually care about putting out The Truth as I see it. Of the three places to get Hawaiian food in Bend this is by far far far my least favorite... If you don't believe me try all three for yourself. The Mac Salad is very blah. Barely any Teriyaki sauce on the chicken. Smallish portions. Pricing is outrageous. Over all, Not impressed at all... I was told we couldn't have noodles as a side on the mixed plate... Then I asked can I order noodles? She said yes you have to order it as a side??? 😂🤣😂 So is it a side or not? That is the million dollar question??? $42.00 dollars before Tip.. for a Spicy chicken plate, Teriyaki chicken plate, a side of noodles, a water bottle & sweet tea. When we got it home neither one if us wanted to finish dinner. Noodles were under cooked. Steamed Broccoli was under cooked. Teriyaki sauce is missing in action. I give a place 3 chances before putting the nails in the coffin... The case is closed on this one for me. 🤠 RIP Kona Mixed Plate ☠️ Everyone else trying is doing better Hawaiian...
Read moreLove this place, all the food I have eaten here is a 10/10. I don't know why I haven't explored their menu more, even though I have been here so many times over the course of 15 years. My usual food choices are their Ahi Poke (More spicy style and extra seaweed), the fried Mahi Mahi sandwich, and their Won Ton Chicken Noodle Soup (I add about a teaspoon of their Grandma sauce to amplify it to the next level of taste but it's perfectly fine as is). I've eaten about half of their menu from what I understand but I primarily enjoy those three items the most. I will come here whenever I'm in the area as it's usually why I'm ever in the old mill district. All who dare come here to enjoy something other than Merican food will have their taste buds delighted by flavors from across the sea. Although they still accommodate those who wish for otherwise. Me and my family know the owners and the chefs as long time friends and we always get treated well, although they treat everyone well if you do the same 😂. Anyone in the area should come here when they get the chance as you...
Read moreI went there with no expectations, however left with a bad experience. First ordered the 3 meat combo and the person at the counter rang it up as all teriyaki. I don't know about the rest of you but that is way too much salt. After asking if I could change to the spicy chicken and the kaluha pork the price increases with no mention to that on their menu. As I wait for the food the order taker is jabbing her head off with a coworker. I watch the food sit on the counter for some time and still chatting away. Several minutes later the order taker puts it in a bag and hands it to me. Food was decent, but if you want real good Hawaiian food go to Noho's in Medford, OR. Now that place not only treats you right, but the portions won't leave you hungry like this did. Hopefully this gets to management cause an experience is everything when it comes to a restaurant. I will never recommend this restaurant. I know we live in Bend, but really a snowboard on the wall of a Hawaiian restaurant. Other then that the...
