Canned mushrooms are not gourmet!!! Usually a good choice for a gourmet burger and excellent fries. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. The Steakhouse Burger was very disappointing. There were only a few mushrooms on it, and the burger was thin. It looked rather flat compared to the advertised picture. The Cod fish and chips were a bit bland, but the portion was large. The fries never disappoint. Overall, it is underwhelming.
This latest visit was weird, to say the least. Our server was very attentive, with no complaints there. I ordered a Mushroom Swiss Burger wrapped in lettuce to forego some carbs with a side salad. The salad was great. My Burger first came out in a bun and so I quickly pointed it out to the server. She apologized and whisked it quickly away. She was back mere moments later with what was obviously the same Burger, removed from the bun and sloppily placed between 2 huge hunks of lettuce. I have no idea how anyone could begin to eat such a thing. So, I removed the cold, dry Burger and loose mushrooms and simply ate them off the plate. It was not good. My companion ordered the BBQ Boneless Wings. They came out dry, cold on top of even colder Steak Fries, and buried in 2 cups of Onion Straws. They were sent back, and several minutes later, a fresh, warm batch of 12 Boneless Wings came out minus the crazy amount of Onion Straws (pic shows most removed). We attempted to speak to a manager, but they were too busy dealing with other unhappy customers. Needless to say, the experience was awful. The fact that I am crippled with a devastating knee injury and we were seated at a high top table with a too narrow walkway between it and the bar just made it worse. My chair and table were ran into several times by passersby. I have included more photos. I am unsure why this place has gone down hill so much, but it is very discouraging. I truly wish I had been able to speak to the manager. I think it is important to understand such failure in order to succeed. I write A LOT of reviews, but I can NOT recommend this place.
So, their solution to a bad review is to simply send a $20 gift card. Completely dismissive and lacking any care whatsoever.
This place doesn't get any better, in fact, it continues to worsen. Food is very cold and essentially inedible. I will not be giving this place another...
Read moreOur server, Maddie, was great. She had fantastic customer service. Everything else was bad. When we first arrived (at 9pm on Friday evening) we walked into the lobby to find five hostess/waitresses. None of them greeted us and when I walked up to the hostess booth to ask for a table for three, one of the girls pointed to another hostess and very rudely replied, "You can tell her." We agreed to sit on the patio in hopes of cutting down our wait time a bit. We were seated promptly on the patio and our awesome waitress got us some drinks. We placed our order for two orders of fries and a kids burger with fries for our little one. We then proceeded to sit there for an HOUR. When the food finally arrived, our two orders of fries were nice and hot but the childrens burger and fries were cold and stale. I approached the staff and let them know that the food was cold and since it was now after 10pm, we really didn't want to wait around for another to be made. We were told that the manager would come to our table, which never happened. It then took another 20 minutes to get our check and the staff comped us for the burger and one order of fries. I have worked in a few restaurants and if we ever delivered such poor service, we would have comped the customers entire meal and sent a manager over to apologize.
I also want to mention the state of the bathrooms. The womens bathroom was filthy. The garbage cans for feminine items were OVERFLOWING in each of the three stalls, as was the main garbage can for paper towels. There was only one, almost empty, roll of t.p. in the handicap stall and one toilet was leaking water all over the floor. If five hostesses can stand up front talking and ignoring customers, why can't a single employee go in to tidy up the bathroom? The male in our group said that the men's bathroom was just as bad.
I was disappointed to have such an overall bad experience at such a well known restaurant. The staff is really friendly for the most part but if I was managing, I would be doing some serious work to stop these negative reviews from happening (and I read through a lot!)
Get it...
Read moreThis was an over-all "meh" experience. We came early, for dinner, at 4pm. It was about shift change time, so that might account for the general chaos. We were seated immediately. The waitress was very friendly. The food took the usual, reasonable amount of time to come. Half of my order, the garlic fries, was missing. And no extra plate for my toddler to share her brother's food. The food-runner eventually brought my order of garlic fries, but it came without the sauces and was a very small portion. He mumbled something about being sorry it was small and they were "working on making more." I didn't really follow him, because I've never eaten there before and didn't know what to expect. The waitress took ages to grace us with her presences again - we wanted refills for our kids milks and I wanted a plate for the bones from my chicken wings. Finally she came - no mention of my garlic fries. She was actually great at refilling my husbands soft drink until the food was on the table, but never brought me any more water and didn't really stop by again... Until she swooped down on us with the bill. Without asking if we needed anything else. Gosh, I hate it when the check appears when you aren't done. I actually was going to order desert. Never mind. I had also wanted a coffee - which I then ordered. And I did it apologetically! As if it was my mistake that she brought the bill without checking in again. When she brought me the coffee, she just set it down on the table, as she flew by-- one cup of black coffee. She didn't ask if I needed milk or sugar. And I didn't see her again until she appeared with a new bill 15min later. Fortunately, I was able to use some of my kid's milk for my coffee. Not stellar. Then, out of nowhere - when we were all done eating, another order of garlic fries appeared. Did it really take that long to make fries? It was completely ridiculous. They did let my little two yr old daughter, who shared her brother's kids meals, have her milk for free. So that was...
