I had a horrible experience with who I assume to be a manager at the Bloomingdale store yesterday. It has left a nasty taste in my mouth and I will never go back. A middle aged lady with shoulder length brown hair and thick rimmed glasses was staring at me and looking at her phone while I was in line to check out. Finally after she continued to stare, I stared back until she said something. At this point she comes up to me in front of everyone in the checkout line and around the front of the store and puts her phone in my face showing me a picture of another blonde woman asking if it is me. It was not me and I told her "no that is not me" and she continued to look at her phone and say "are you sure its not you were you here yesterday" second guessing me! I live out of state and wasn't even in town until this all happened! It was mortifying! All I was trying to do was pay for my daughters earrings which I continued to do and walk out. In the mean time it looked like she had employees calling the police! The situation was handled so poorly and she should have pulled me aside if she had a concern rather than in front of a bunch of people. I hope this never happens to another guest in your store! Huge store filled with merchandise both handcrafted or mass merchandise delineated into "booths" is a massive shopping experience. Vendors come and go, so if you find something you love, buy it! My granddaughters love it here. There are unique clothing choices, candy and stickers. Household knick knacks and decorative pieces abound. I found some jewelry and some delicious jam. Come look around, but leave plenty of time, there is plenty to see. Seasonal items are always available. They often host events where you might win a raffle of products. I really like this place, however I made a purchase and when I received my cc statement I was double charged. I went to the store and spoke to Karly (store manager) about this, left all my contact information, copies of my statement and receipt and she advised she was calling corporate and would call me back. She never contacted me. I went in again and her reply was “I am busy, we are all busy and to cancel my cc”. Still no contact or follow up from them to reconcile and cancelling a cc is not that easy when you have items tied to that card. They double charged over $100.00.
