My younger brother and I came in here to simply look around. I’m really into crystals and since my brother is younger then me, he likes to follow my lead. The whole time we were in there, there was a lady (I’m assuming the owner from the other reviews) and she kept staring at us as we walked around. There was little drums that had a “be gentle” sign next to them with the sticks to play them so I very lightly did. As a 16 year old that has always been gentle, I can say I was not loud at all. My younger brother did mess with a wind chime in another room and I grabbed him and pulled him out telling him not to do that and before we knew it, the lady ran back there and just stared at him while following us up front. We continued to walk around with her following behind to eventually have her run up to us and say rudely, “where are your parents. you have to be 18 to be in here because of the cbd products.” There were no 18 and up signs outside of the place and they did have cbd signs up but I had no idea we had to be 18. I informed her I was 16 and our parents were up the road and she rudely stated that my brother and I had to leave. I bought nothing and I’ll never be going in here. The owner of this store is judgmental and rude. My two sons and three of their friends went in the store to look around. She asked a couple of the boys how old they were and then proceeded to follow them around everywhere. My son overheard her accuse one of his friends of stealing from her a while back. I called the store and spoke with the owner. She said that the boy did steal from her a year ago. She still believes that! I made sure to let her know that all of the kids that came in her store are over 18 and that they do not steal. The one she accused of stealing has never even been to BR before! I said “but you are okay with them buying from your store-right?” She said that they could come back by and she would give them a full refund. This shop is wonderful in every sense of the word. The staff is amazingly knowledgeable, I learn something new every time I go in there and they are all joyfully nice and polite. The shop has just about anything you could want for a wide range of spiritual practices, from all types and shapes of crystals to books on everything under the sun. They have statues and decoration pieces, really unique knickknacks, handmade native American decor, authentic mala beads, singing bowls of all sizes and so much more. Unlike other shops I've been too Silk Road has less of a witchy vibe and more of an eastern mystic feeling, though if you're looking for candles or a smudge stick they have them along with other ceremonial pieces. A definite must see shop if you're in downtown Blue ridge and want to experience one of the most unique shops...
