Usually a pleasant place to shop, but the service was unacceptable today. No rude comments or anything like that, and there were friendly welcomes and smiles by what appeared to be managers towards the back office.
However, waiting in line was the issue, and this isn't your normal review of a long line. It wasn't long, there were only a couple people in front of me. The issue was I could visually see 5 cashiers standing behind the counter, and there were 5 cashier signs lit up. Only 1 cashier was actually helping customers, as the other 4 had their backs turned ALL organizing returned items on the back shelf. Eventually, one worker turned around to see people in line. Did she actually help or get one of those cashiers to help? Absolutely not. She calls for "Josh" across the store to come cashier.
This is the other negative part. Who was Josh, you might wonder? This individual turned out to be the person I saw a couple times in the store. For starters, his attire was very unprofessional. He was wearing feministic attire (which isn't the issue) but had skin tight high-waisted jeans showing certain things with a black high rise shirt that clearly showed skin on the midriff. Additionally, the reason he had to be called for was he kept dropping to the floor in places, sitting Indian style, and pulling out his cell phone. I can only assume he has found the locations out of sight of co-workers or cameras.
The entire show was unprofessional and gave me a different view of the ethics in this location than I have seen on any...
Read moreI had never walked into this TJ Maxx before and was really impressed as soon as I looked around. The updated look and actually rather well kept products and aisles wasn't something you typically see in their stores.
Perhaps it's because it's new... but then again, this place has been opened long enough for it to look run down and trashed like the rest of them.
Their pricing seems to have gone up though as it felt like much of their products weren't any cheaper than target/walmart... but maybe that's been the case for a long time. I don't know because I haven't been in a TJM for...
Read moreRelatively clean, the personal care products were organized by color which was kinda nice. The store had a lot of product out on the floor, though and carts with clearance items (i think items to be put out onto the racks) in buggies in the clothes section which is already a tight squeeze as it is. Only issue is have is the fact that there were at least 7 employees out on the floor, 2 working the registers, and at least 32 people waiting in line to check...
