The Manager Sprayed My Girlfriend With a Water Hose!
Yes, you read this headline correctly...
Let me also start this by saying that for the past two years, this was our favorite Mexican Grill, and we never had a single issue until now.
Last night, our group of 4 visited El Jarrito Mexican Grill around 9:25 pm to get some dinner before the restaurant closed. We arrived and were delighted when the waiter told us the kitchen would be open until 10:30 pm.
We ordered some drinks and they were awesome.
Next, we ordered food. We got a fajitas' bravas (30$ plate of chicken, steak, and shrimp fajitas), fish tacos, a chicken fajita plate, and one chicken fajita plate with added shrimp.
The waiter asked us if we wanted to make the fajitas spicy, and my friends said yes, they would like spicy fajitas.
We were confused when our food came out, as they brought us a giant plate of green chilies that we did not order. The waiter did not tell us that he would be bringing us 7$ worth of green chilies on the side; he only asked us if we wanted spicy fajitas.
We ate our food and asked to get the ticket. We were stunned because on the ticket, they upgraded the chicken fajitas with shrimp to the fajita bravas, which is a dish that has steak and is more expensive, also added a Coke, which no one ordered for an extra 4$, and also the 7$ of green chilies we didn't order. The whole ticket came out to around 156$
We asked to talk to the manager about the item discrepancies and were told no manager was available and that they were gone for the night. We also asked to redeem our military discount, which they said they would not honor because the manager was gone for the night.
Frustrated, we claimed that this was not acceptable to add items we didn't order to our ticket and asked to have them removed. They removed the Coke but refused to remove or rectify the upgraded fajita plate or the green chilies we didn't order. We asked another worker in the area, and she informed us that our waiter was the manager, and he was trying to close the restaurant for the night.
Once this deception was realized, we informed the waiter that we would not be leaving a tip because this is bad business, upcharging and lying to customers, and making excuses to honor discounts.
We paid the 156$ ticket and stepped outside to gather our things and chat before we headed out for the night.
The Manager then came outside, furiously started throwing our plates and glasses as he was bussing the table. We were casually talking on the side when he came over, grabbed a water hose, and started spraying it in our general direction. We, of course, started to move out of the area. Unfortunately, my girlfriend was not so lucky and got her feet and shorts soaked by the manager, who was furiously spraying water so he could bully us into leaving faster. My girlfriend asked, "Why are you being so rude? Look what you did to my shorts?!" He simply replied, "Okay, have a great night, thanks for coming."
This behavior is unacceptable. It's one thing to scam customers with prices and lie to customers about discounts, but it's completely another to physically assault customers with a water hose. We are taking steps to have this matter investigated and handled accordingly.
We will not be...

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent visit to this shameful restaurant , and I feel obligated to share my experience.
From the beginning, the service was subpar—our drinks and food took an unusually long time to arrive even though there was just us and another table in the whole restaurant (not surprising now) We requested spicy food for two people and were served a plate of burnt jalapeños on the side instead “for spice”, which we were later charged $8 for without any prior notice. The food quality was poor—I’d rate it a 3/10 at best. To make matters worse, they added a Coke to our bill that we never ordered.
The restaurant advertises a military discount, but when we asked, we were told that the person who could authorize it had left. Later, they claimed the register was closed, despite printing our receipt and taking our payment in front of us. These excuses were clearly inconsistent. We were four of us and the check was $168 for only 1 entree each and 2 drinks. The prices are insanely expensive for the mere taste and negative customer service they provide.
When we politely inquired about the surprise jalapeño charge, the response was rude and dismissive: “Nothing here is free,” delivered in a disrespectful tone. Staff were unhelpful and kept speaking in Spanish to each other without addressing us properly. When we asked for the manager, they just pointed at each other, denying responsibility.
As we were gathering our belongings to leave, a staff member sprayed water from a hose near us, splashing on to me on the side of my body. When I reacted in shock and asked what he was doing, his response was, “I have to clean,” with no apology or regard for his behavior. This act was clearly intentional and highly unprofessional.
This staff member—and frankly much of the team—exhibited a complete lack of hospitality, accountability, and respect. Their actions were not only rude but borderline aggressive and discriminatory. This kind of behavior has no place in the service industry, and this restaurant should be investigated and held accountable for their mistreatment of customers.
I will definitely read out to the management and high authorities in my capacity and escalate the matter so no one else would be subjected to anything close yo this unacceptable behavior and...
Read moreMy husband & I stopped by this establishment today as we have moved back to the area and friends had shared that they offered quail on the menu. When entering the establishment with my Medical Service Animal I provided documentation to show that she is a Service Animal and is registered. We asked for a table in the bar area in a corner to place her out of the walkway not to hinder anyone's path and was met with much animosity by multiple employees even after show each of them her documentation in which by ADA law is not a requirement to show. After going to our table we was approached by another gentlemen who spoke to us in broken English and my husband shared the he didn't understand what he was saying...he said to us that "they had food and we had to go out there to sit" pointing to their outside patio...mind you it was at the time 102 degrees outside. We again showed the documentation and he was insistent we sit outside...we told him "no" and proceeded to leave the establishment. Due to the lack of knowledge by the staff of ADA requirements and allowing service animals this establishment has lost customers and we felt the need to share with others how we was treated. We was never asked by any staff if she was a "service animal" or what "service she provided", we was just treated poorly and told we had to sit outside in the 102 degree temperature if we wanted to be served. So...
