I was in the process of trying to find another hair stylist as I started to feel unhappy with my previous stylist. I remember feeling really nervous about it as we all know how hard it is to search for a hair stylist who will actually listen to your needs and execute!

I honestly didn't even know what to book since my hair had been through so much (tons of bleach and haircolor), but I knew I wanted to keep coloring my hair. I somehow found Janelle and we clicked immediately - she listened to every single one of my concerns, and even though she knew how much I wanted to color my hair that day, she urged me to wait a couple of months and gave me step-by-step instructions on how to heal my hair during that time. So, in the first appointment, Janelle gave me a devacut, toned my hair, and did an Olaplex treatment. Initially, I was a little bummed that I wasn't going to get any haircolor that day, but I was SO happy with the results that I KNEW I found a keeper - I don't think I have ever met a stylist who has been that insistent about preserving the integrity of my hair and it was SO nice to find a stylist who actually cared about healthy hair! So, ultimately, I knew I was leaving with what I needed, and had already felt that boost of confidence! ;)

I went home, and for the next 8 weeks, I was super diligent about following Janelle's instructions on healing my hair...

My 2nd appointment arrives! Yay! I walk in and I could tell immediately that Janelle is super excited, just as excited as me!!! :D I forgot to mention earlier, but her energy is just amazing - she is so sweet, caring, and funny all at the same time, and really just such a blast to be around! You can immediately tell that she knows and loves hair, and isn't scared of a challenge - she embraces them with so much confidence!

Janelle did a complete color correction (full balayage), devacut, a deep conditioning treatment, and was so meticulous every single step of the way. I was also her only client that day so I felt like I had her complete and undivided attention as well which was really nice! 5 hours later, I honestly can't believe this work of art - she is seriously a magician! I mean, look at these before and afters!!

I started seeing Bri Klimas as my hairdresser in the fall of 2020 when she was working at a different salon, so when she moved to Salon Inez, it was a no-brainer for me to follow her. Even 4.5 years into seeing her, she always takes the time to understand my vision and will talk through any decisions I may be unsure about. Sometimes, I’ll even come in for my appointment, uncertain about what I want my hair to look like, so I let her take the reigns and talk me through her vision. As a natural brunette who can’t make up her mind on whether to continue getting varying levels of balayage or to dye my hair to match its roots, I’m sure I’ve given her whiplash from my back and forth of being blonde and brunette. But Bri always knows what to do, continuously going to classes to learn new techniques to best serve her clients. There’s no one else I’d trust to cut, style, bleach, or color my hair. Maura has been coloring/cutting my hair for over 12 years and I could not be happier with the results. I had always been against coloring my hair out of fear of looking like a real housewife of OC circa 2007; however, Maura is able to give me a natural look with a pop of color. I’m not chained to the salon chair every few weeks, because she blends highlights with my natural color, so I can space out my appointments. Maura can read a room and won’t harass you with annoying questions about yourself if you are trying get a moment of bloody peace while getting your hair done.
