If I could rate them higher, I would. Sarah from the Back Bay location is amazing and a perfect colorist. I really appreciated how everyone spoke to me (no pun intended). Everyone was super genuine and helpful, yet still friendly and knowledgeable. I got exactly the color and cut I wanted but I didn't feel like they were trying to sell me on anyone, or talk to me in a forced, "customer service" voice.

Bella did my cut and it was exactly what I asked for. She even offered complimentary refreshes/retouches on my bangs which I think is EXTREMELY helpful (and will prevent me from asking my non professional friends to upkeep my bangs).

This location is very convenient in Back Bay and the studio itself is clean, bright and beautiful. Thank you both so so much!...

On Friday, I got my hair cut with Alessandra and I couldn't be happier! My experience didn't feel like I was at a random salon, I genuinely felt pampered throughout the entire process- from the Aveda oils she massaged into my scalp to the way she washed my hair with the utmost delicate care.

She convinced me to get a lob haircut (cut about 7 inches off!) and I walked out feeling amazing. You can tell she is a professional at her trade because she gave me the most stubble layers that added more definition and volume to my hair. She also was a pleasure to chat with, such a nice lady.

I currently live in NYC and would totally go back to Boston just to get my haircut with Alessandra...

I recently went to Spoke & Weal on the recommendation of a trusted friend. After 17 years with my hair stylist it was time for me to make a change and I'm so happy that I did! I feel so lucky to have been introduced to Joanie, she is truly gifted and gave me an amazing haircut that I am getting continual compliments on. Joanie listened to my needs (after two kids my hair isn't as lush as it once was) and gave me a cut that created more density in my hair while keeping the length.
