I discovered The Men's Wearhouse only a couple months ago but have stepped in probably 10 times already as I have been adapting my wardrobe to my new corporate job. I have been to two so far- one in Orlando and the one in Boulder, which is the one I go to most frequently. I have had really great experiences at each location! I went in knowing very little on how to dress (proper fit, colors, etc...) and they were very patient with me and made me feel welcomed and valued as they patiently answered all my novice questions about style.
Kyle from the Boulder branch has been incredible! He's been working there for 6 years now. Talk about someone who really goes the extra mile! I was having a hard time finding two suits I wanted to buy and he was so patient with me as I tried to match up the good deals with the colors/styles I wanted. I told him I was on a budget and he never pressured me to buy more than I was comfortable with, but instead really tried to help me out. I'm a smaller, slim guy and a lot of the suits didn't fit me too well or weren't the color I was looking for so he actually kept me in mind over several visits and let me know when something came in that seemed to be a goof fit for me. He eventually ordered the perfect suits for me in a cut that didn't require any tailoring (saved me a lot of money!). They are the two best suits I've ever had and I've gotten compliments every single time I wear them!
I have a 2-year old and it's really difficult to shop with him around so I often pick stuff up after my son goes to sleep and then I go home to show my wife and usualy end up returning some of the items. These guys have made it very easy for me- I never felt pressured or guilty for returning stuff even though I do it so often, and they take the time to dig into their system when I forget my receipts and make it all work out. Now that I know my sizes/styles/brands, I just order everything on-line and return what I don't like. It's always nice to see Kyle when he's in- he always has time for a conversation and to educate me on trends and styles.
I honestly can't imagine shopping anywhere else now for my formal wear. These guys are great! And the deals are amazing- make sure to get on their e-mail list and create a PerfectFit ID and you get incredibly good deals sent to your e-mail on a daily basis.
In short, I feel great about what I wear and am staying within my small budget and am absolutely loving the service I've gotten from The Men's Wearhouse! Keep up...
Read moreI have to share this experience.
I stopped by yesterday at the Mens Warehouse in Boulder about 3pm, looking for a sport's coat (suit jacket). A young women greeted me, she appeared to be either high school, or maybe collage age. I explained to her that I was looking for a suit coat in charcoal, black or maybe dark navy, in a 40 S or 40 R. The young women showed me a rack on the wall were I could find my size, and pulled down one of the jackets for me try on. The jacket she showed me one of MW brands, and was priced around $340 I believe. I asked if they were having any sales and she pointed to a rack behind me with sport coats, but clearly the coats that nobody wants. A female customer approached us and asked the clerk if they had any bow ties and the employee helping me (the young women) walked off to show the other customer where ties were, without saying anything to me. I took off the sports coat that I had tried on and walked around the racks looking for other coats in my size. The young women clerk never returned to help me and I noticed several minutes later that she was now in the back of the store standing with 3 other young girls socializing/chatting. I assumed that the other girls with her were also Men's Warehouse employees. The only other employee was a teenage young man working at the register, with 3 other customers in line.
I'm afraid that this is where customer service has gone in today's world, especially where online sales is crushing the brick and mortar market. When these large corporate companies, such as Mens Warehouse, can only hire teenage staff (or maybe early 20's), customer service really takes a hit. These kids don't care if a customer wants to by a $340 suit coat, or a $800 suit, etc. There's nothing in it for them. The young girl initially helping me felt that it was more important to show another teenage girl where the bow ties were than selling me a sports coat.
Folks, I expect a better experience when shopping for a suite or a even a sports coat. I want to be able to walk into a men's store and be greeted professionally with staff that knows their product line and how to fit me. I will NEVER again walk into the Men's Warehouse, regardless of their large posters of well dressed Calvin Cline models in the front windows! That's advertising to get men into their stores. Believe me, you're not going to get professional...
Read moreWe placed a group rental order for a wedding at this store. Most of our groomsmen were coming from out of town so we thought this would be the easiest way for our group to be accommodated for our day. I requested pick up a day early so our best man could swing in to pick up for everyone to try on their suits at least a day before the event. I called ahead 3 weeks before to confirm everyone’s pavement and that the suits would arrive a day early. I was promised they would arrive on the day requested and assured it would be no problem. They didn’t arrive on that day due to “holiday” shipping delays. The associate at the boulder store blamed the other stores for not properly adding the shipping date, but stated he could clearly see that the earlier date was requested in the system. In reality, the other stores did in fact get their orders in because I had one suit fitted in Minneapolis arrive and one suit fitted in Rapid City arrive on time. The ones ordered at the boulder store did not arrive on time. They arrived the next day, but due to the day delay in arrival, our best man spent 4 hours in traffic round trip to pick up the suits for the group. When everyone tried their suits on, one groomsman had pants that were 7 inches too short. It looked like he had on gaucho pants. He had to go back to the store closest to us to get them fixed. It took an hour and a half for the seamstress to arrive to fix them for him. We were never offered the “free” rental for the groom for our order until the suits were picked up for the event. You cannot be credited for the rental- you have to take your card into a store OR get store credit. When we went to go get the refund, the associate at a different store sounded apprehensive when we explained that someone in the boulder store told us we could have a refund. He did find us in the system and was going to process the refund when system crashed. We had to start all over again. This whole process was painful and your associates are not properly trained to explain or follow your sales/rental process. No one apologized. No one took ownership. We paid the price. I would NEVER recommend this process to anyone trying to plan a large event. Do so at...
