Have a hard time believing any of the 5 star reviews are real.
So I walk in to a bothered woman talking to a tall man. You could tell immediately she was annoyed that another customer walked in. She asked what I needed. Proceeded to tell her I had a wedding coming up and needed to get fitted.
About 5 minutes later when she was finished her conversation with this gentleman, she asked again, what I needed. Again I told her I had a wedding coming up and that I needed to get fitted. She asked me for the group number. "522..." couldnt even get it all the way out before she proclaimed that it was a sale not a rental. Thats when any kind of care went out the window (if it was there to even begin with). Just a quick dollar sign from this point forward. "Heres these pants but they're too long, go to room 4." Had me walk in on someone, bird out, in the only room that was full. His salesperson proceeded to get upset and tell me to go to 1. Went to 1. Was asked my shoe size. Next thing i know a pair two sizes too large slid under the doorway. Got the pants on, shoes on, expecting some care as I will be standing up in front of 200+ people. I want to make sure I look good. With no regard the woman told me to hike my pants up, never asking how they fit or anything. Grabbed a ruler and haphazardly marked two lines on my calfs, that i could feel were not even. After already questioning everything, she had me take the pants off and change into mine. I didnt really get upset until she just grabbed a shirt off the rack without me having try it on and just rung it up expecting me to pay without trying it on. At this point i told her I would not be purchasing the shirt here and asked if there was anyone else that could help me. She said no, which may or may not have been true. Told her I wasnt the most comfortable with the way I was "Fitted". She proceeded to me to come back another time and if i had something to say to just say it. In that moment I said screw it well see how it goes. Mind you im set for pick up 3 days before a flight cross country for said wedding. That night I looked up the reviews and I knew I couldn't trust it cutting it that close to the flight and be comfortable. The next day I went back, greeted with the same face from the day before. She was immediately annoyed to see me. I told her I was here for the pants i had purchased the day before. She kept insisting that I didnt trust her fitting and trying to pawn me off on another salesperson there. I told them no, they had their chance. I asked for the tailoring fee to be taken off the shirt i was going to purchase as part of what was needed. Somehow that couldnt be worked back either. Well see if it goes back on my card or not.
But very long story short, Do yourself a favor and dont go to this mens wearhouse. They could give a shit about how you look, especially if its not a rental for a local wedding theyll get shit about. There are plenty of other places that will put care into what youre getting. Or if youre stuck with mens wearhouse, go to the one in boca and avoid the one in boynton...
Read moreWent in today to look for a suit or tux for the groom and a groomsmen of our wedding in 6 months and was greeted by a woman with an attitude from the moment we walked through the door. She rolled her eyes when we said what we were looking for then proceeded to say she’d meet us in the back. I ignored that thinking maybe I interpreted it wrong but when another worker offered to assist us she yelled across the store “they are just here for suit rentals” with the same atiitude as greeted. The male worker said that was fine and he would help us but she insisted. When I inquired about the difference between a suit and tuxedo and apologized for not knowing the difference she explained the difference to me as if I were a toddler. I then asked if my fiancé could try on a jacket because I was in between two shades of blue and was informed they didn’t have any that would fit him. I find that hard to believe when on the shop window it has in writing that you go up to size 4x. I reinterated that I just wanted him to try on a jacket (there was a huge wall of jackets to the left of us) knowing that this wasn’t going to be the exact brand or type, soley to see the difference of blues on him and she said that wasn’t possible.
She didn’t seem at all interested in helping us, providing alternatives or even giving us the time of the day. Im not sure what her issue was or if she just doesn’t get commission off of suit rentals but if that were the case, you’re in sales, she could have persuaded us to a buy a suit if she really wanted to but instead she wanted to be rude, condescending and pass judgement for no other reason except to ruin other people’s day.
Thank you for leaving a bitter taste in my mouth and making this wedding planning process more...
Read moreThere is no professionalism anymore. I went to the store to get a Black Suit. The young gentleman who was assisting me had no experience and fitted me with a 44 long Jacket. And pants that were hemmed at 32. I thought the pants were short but was told that was the way they are all made. The Tailor for alterations instead of some wise input regarding suit fitting, was willing to sell me a suit with the Jacket sleeves too long. And the Jacket obviously too long. Thank G-d I took pictures . I called the next morning and put alterations on hold. I stated I was coming to retry the suit. I arrived at 11 AM on a Friday. There were 4 people in the store working , No customers. Nobody said welcome to Men’s Wearhouse. I said to the lady at the cash register, good morning and my name. I informed her I was here to retry my suit. Her entire demeanor and lack of response made me feel I was intruding. After a minute or two she decided to find my suit and laid it on the counter and walked away. So I tried it on again and realized this was a 44 long instead of a 44R. So I asked for some assistance and was told with 4 people working in the store and no customers, in a few minutes. Let’s note I never complained and remained friendly. I cancelled my purchase. $550 is no small change for poor service, a tailor who has no knowledge , & doesn’t care. The sales people lack any basic sales etiquette or knowledge about the product they are selling. They just don’t care. Buyer beware. Men’s warehouse is not what it used to be . Poor quality, poor service, and expensive. This experience is not unique to Boynton Beach. I had a similar experience in the Aventura store. PS Jos A Banks is the same company. So...
