Jocks and Socks — Local services in Branson

On November 7th, 2024, my wife and I visited Jocks in Socks. Upon entering this place of business and unbeknownst to me, my wife overheard the manager say to his employee, "Oh it sucks, you have to work Veteran'sDay" to which his employee responded, "I don't mind. I don't see why Veteran's need a day."

Upon hearing this conversation, my wife immediately walked out the store, and left me to shop. When we returned to the hotel that night, she told me everything that she had heard earlier in the day. I asked her why she didn't say anything to me earlier, she said, "I didn't want to ruin your experience, and I knew his insensitive comments would have upset you because you served our country honorably for 8 years in the United States Navy and know why we celebrate Veteran's Day!"

Today, I went back and talked to the manager of Jocks and Socks. He tried be apologetic for his employees insensitive comments, and even informed me that his employee was actually prior military. To which I responded, "Then of all people, he should know why we celebrate our Veteran's." I also asked the manager to refrain from having conversations like this on the sales floor in the future, no matter if his employee feels like he doesn't need to be recognized for his service in the U.S Army. I'm not saying these two guys are Veteran haters, I'm just asking them to do better. If you are a Veteran and want to give them your business, then that's ok, but this Veteran will not be shopping at...

We go to Branson Every year for a small family reunion. We have been into sports cards for a bit, and we had heard about this store a couple different times. We went on a morning we didn't already have plans, and we were in there for an hour and a half before we had finally picked out some cool cards to purchase. They had a wide variety of cards including some 1 of 1s, and all of their prices seemed reasonable. The customer service was outstanding! We actually ended up coming back later that week! They were open to talk about anything cards, and was overall a very fun experience! I would 100% recommend this small shop, and we will for sure be going...

Absolutely incredible store for our baseball loving boy! Warren is a baseball fan’s dream and a wealth of knowledge about baseball cards. He gave our son a discount when he learned that he was paying for his baseball cards with his allowance money.
