Though yes, the Breckenridge Jewelers store displays beautiful things and staff were very friendly, the outcome of the peridot with small diamonds ring purchase was negative. Because I have a small hand and fingers with large knuckles I decided not to re-size & instead have added the two beads (another option) to allow the ring to not twist. After the beads were added to the ring was shipped to me; I wore the ring that day and realized the ring twisted still and the peridot stone was mostly sitting on the side. I spoke with the jeweler who said I could ship it back to re-size (or maybe the beads could be enlarged). To avoid further shipping charges, I stopped at a local Jared's, who before doing any work on the ring, used their equipment to take photos of the ring. I was shown the photos and to my dismay it was pointed out there were some diamonds that were chipped, and the peridot had a small crack. Not being an experienced jewelry purchaser, I now know before making a non-costume jewelry purchase, I need to request photos of said jewelry. At Breckenridge Jewelers, I was not offered the option to have a closer look (photo) at the ring I was interested in. I called the jeweler at Breckenridge yesterday, and I said I was aware of their no return policy and was told that once the ring l bought was taken out of the store, there was nothing that could be done. Just sharing what happened to me for any other non-experienced jewelry buyers interested in...
Read moreI brought in a gold rope chain to be repaired and left it with them for two weeks. They initially called me with an estimate of $100, and after my husband followed up and mentioned that we were local, they lowered the price to $70. Shortly after, we received another call saying the repair would now cost $200 because there was an additional brittle link that needed fixing.
Then I got yet another call saying the chain actually couldn’t be repaired at all and that the technician Lauren had broken it into multiple pieces. When I asked why, the only explanation I was given was that it was a “hollow” chain, even though I had already explained when dropping it off the details of the rope chain.
I’ve owned this chain for six years, worn it daily, and it has never broken. I chose not to drive all the way back to the original store I purchased it from because this place had assured me they could handle the repair. Now I’m left with pieces of my chain and no compensation just a dismissive comment that the chain was poor quality, which is simply untrue. I have the original certificate and invoice to prove its value.
The customer service from Lauren throughout was rude, careless, and completely unprofessional. I’m extremely disappointed and strongly recommend avoiding this place if you care about...
Read moreWe loved shopping at this place. Don't be fooled by the giant Geodes in the window. They have amazing jewelry for all budgets, art, sculptures, and lots of other fun stuff too.
It was my first time in Breckenridge and I found the shop while I was looking around. From all of the jewelry stores we stopped in, this was my hands down favorite.
I spent a lot of time looking around for a mens ring I liked. I didn't have a big budget. I was looking for a ring that said "Breckenridge" to me. I looked for a very long time and I found exactly what I was looking for (see photo)
I was treated extremely attentively even though I'm not a "big spender". We did find a few other nice things and ended up spending more that we anticipated. It was all on our own - there wasn't any pushing at all. They let us look around with no pressure and came to us quickly when we had questions.
We bought another ring that needed sizing and they did is right then.
Danny, the owner and Miles were great guys. There was another young lady (Feel really bad I don't remember her...
