Breckenridge Welcome Center — Local services in Breckenridge

I made the grave mistake of going in three minutes before closing and was asked to leave unless I had a quick question. I said I only needed to see the list of restaurant information that you had pulled together and shared earlier with my wife two days earlier. The manager said there is no list and you must be mistaken, and we’re now closing in two minutes and escorted me out the door. I felt like a criminal - or idiot - or that we were in court of law and everything I said was impossible. I left very disappointed at the lack of enthusiasm or attitude of the manager. I’m sure the employees that are likely volunteers looking to help would’ve not been quite so aggressive. I’m attaching the actual list of information my wife retrieved from the list that they showed her at the counter. Breckenridge is such a friendly town - just don’t expect that when you’re going to the welcome center and run into the Is person. Welcome is not in the managers vocabulary. Otherwise, what a wonderful place this center has been for decades and I have had many great experiences there taking gas over the last 20 years. I will return again, but this time I’ll know not who to ask my questions to and I’ll get there at least 20 minutes before they close so it to not get on anyone’s nerves the...

Such helpful staff at the BWC. My family has a second home in Breck and we love to stop by to see Brie and Basil and the rest of the staff to know what is happening while we are up there for our visit. They are so knowledgeable with what’s going on, great kid friendly spots to explore and Basil has the best suggestions for hike ideas for our dog. Love how pet friendly Breck is and that we can take our dog almost anywhere. My parents are history buffs and my mom is a member of the Summit Historical Society and always loves to stop in to see Brie and pick her brain as well as the rest of the staff about the history...

Very clean very nice get the information you needed the only prop I have is for some reason they were actually only open the last day we were there but you could always go in use the bathrooms get a drink of water everything and still be able to get some directional maps and stuff and everything else to find your way around nice place and right behind it is you could walk out in the stream with your kids everything else get on rocks mind you the water is freezing cold but after you've been walking around for a couple hours it feels fantastic...
