As a plus sized person shopping is often a difficult experience. Stores that carry a plus line carry it online only or the ones that do have an extremely limited selection and employees that treat you as if you shouldn’t be there. Showing either passive or direct hostility towards you.

I was expecting all of this when I walked into Athleta a few weeks back. Not only do they have an extensive selection of plus sizes. Every single employee treated me like I was welcome and valued. Aggressive Sales woman. She asks for your information without telling you its for a credit card. Once she started asking for my SSN I figured something was up and she told me she's signing me up for a credit card. I told her NOT to do that and she said she said it wouldn't go through. Two months later I happen to see it in my main bank account as a credit card I have with a balance... She lied and went ahead and put that payment on my credit card WITHOUT even giving me the discount and now it has accumulated fees for the past 2 months. Absolute dishonesty. Just so I decided not to give out any candy for Halloween… They had the nerve to put out a sinus says “we’re sorry but we’re not giving out cans here!“ But why not?
