Our refrigerator went out. I called the first appliance service listed on google. They couldn't even see us for 10 days and wanted pmt for the $150 svc call at the moment of my phone call (10 days ahead of time) - I actually confirmed that she would be charging my card now, and she said, "yes"! Luckily, I called Brookings Appliance - James asked me a few questions, and determined our freezer was out too (we hadn't realized that). He squeezed us into his schedule that afternoon to confirm the problem and only chg'd us $100 for the svc call. The part was covered by Sears, but after sitting on hold for 45 min.s, I discovered they couldn't get anyone here for 2 wks, and then they might or might not have the part w/them. James ordered the part the next day and installed in on Fri of the same wk! Not only that, I got a follow-up phone call from James the following wk to make sure everything was working correctly - who makes follow-up calls anymore? We are so very impressed with Brookings Appliance and James and the other folks there. We will never go anywhere else, and will recommend them all our friends. We have a washer made in the 1990s, and I love it. I never want to replace it and I hope very much that it keeps working for the rest of my life. One day it just stopped agitating and spinning, and I feared the worst - having to buy a new "smart" washer - but I still had hope that our washer could be saved, so I called Brookings Appliance. James came to our house and couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. He had the washer working better than ever in a few minutes!
